Regarding the Austrian Song, "Woki" is some Austrian dialect for "shake" so the song is basically called "Shake your ass".

I still feel bad for them because they were two young guys, like 18 or 19 years old, who started off as making fun videos about partying or trying to party while growing up in a tiny village in the countryside. They had some nice bops where they brought like a tractor and a harmonica on stage or did a cover of "Alors on danse" called "Aloa beim Franz" (Alone at Franz's house) and it was funny and the harmonica infused folky electronic beats were something new. They tried out for Eurovision 2011 with "Oida taunz" but came 2nd to some ballad that never made it into the finals. So the next year they tried again with a very bad choice of a song (that one) that only their fans would understand, went head to head with Conchita with "That's what I am", won the televote by a few points, went to ESC and bombed badly because, well, if you don't know them and their particular sense of humour none of this makes any sense and seems outright sexist and dumb. That's why in 2014 Austria, tired of losing, went without any preselection and appointed runner-up Conchita with a new song. (Controversial opinion: I preferred That's what I am).

@@imsohappy303 You're right, I confused it with another ballad. 2011 was Nadine Beiler, a good singer with a boring song. She was in the same casting show (Starmania) with Tom/Conchita as a teenager

Alex I love this new format and quite enjoyed it!! if you have them for more reactions you could do different categories as in my opinion you didn't have the whole spectrum of the Eurovision songs. One category could be traditional/balkan one could be songs with great staging one category could be winners one dance songs and one weird (songs that Americans wouldn't necessarily listen to). Something like that so could showcase another side of Eurovision. You could even ask us to give suggestions for the grid. Overall loved the new idea and hope to see more videos like this !!

I like the new format but I am not sure about your songs selection. Most of them are not the type of entry to show for the first time to new watchers. I like some though, not all were bad. I tell you that as an opinion with all my respect because I know you put lot of effort and creativity. Some categories I would add are, popular runner ups, eurodivas, party for everybody, underrated ones and anthemic bangers. Thank you Alex, love from Uruguay.

As someone who never watches but has seen some performances-and didn't recognise any of these-I agree. There was nothing here that reached me. I don't know whether the problem is the reproduction (diminished audio and picture-in-picture image) or the song choices, but there could have been much more interesting pieces included.

Most Americans just don't get the point of the ESC. It's not a competition about the "greatest song" or whatever. It's not like American Idol. Eurovision is about bringing Europe together for one night (three if you count the semi-finals). It's all about unity and friendly rivalry. The motto is "United by music". It's a way to show that we have friendship across the borders.

What about a rock category with like Turkey 2004, finland 2014, one of the zdob i zdub songs, Switzerland 2005 and something like Spain 2013 or something old like UK 1972. I like the idea of the video, hope there's gonna be a part 2

`Woki` is kinda austrian dialect and derives from `wackeln` (to wiggle/shake) and in this context just means 'Shake your butt' ;)....best wishes from Vienna ;)

This was a great idea for a video! Loved every second and really hope you do it again (soon)! Idea for new category: Tradition. Songs you could include: Poland 2014 (modern take on traditions in the staging), Poland 2016 (traditional singing style), Norway 1980 or 2019 (both include traditional sami joik).

Would have loved to see them react to Jendrik, it is one of the Eurovision songs that always makes me happy, but maybe they wouldn't pay attention to the message/lyrics because of the silly staging/vibe of it, but I love the way he clap back so to speak at haters/internet trolls and bullies by rising above them, not going to their level. Also Ireland 2018 would have been a sweet reaction, because of how tender the song is and the theme of it and its one of my favorite irish esc songs of all time. And Italy 2015 would have been awesome as well for a powerfull and grand voice perfomance with carisma. I'm glad we skipped germany 2008, that was just a mess sorry.

I liked them, i don't like the format though, mostly because of the songs i prefer when you choose the songs that they have to react to i order to make them have a more complete idea of what Eurovision is, fun a bit crazy but also with a lot of quality and culture, and actually good and cool music.

Hi, really good concept Next Time, you should either Make a 4X4 grid or a longer video to Make all the songs This is some themes you should try for Next Time: - Rock/Metal - Winners - Powerful vocals - Nul points - Eliminated in semi - Pop - Opera - Stagings And, maybe you could Make a special one with National final songs or JESC Songs but, That's another thing lol

What's the point if having the bracket, if they are not going to listen to all of the songs. Just have 15, if you are going to have 15. You could also make a secret ranking of the songs in each category by your preference and when everyone votes you could reveal if there are changes to thise rankings.

This grid is lacking sooo many memorable performances, but I loved the ideia and format. The wyf category should definitely have Russia 2007 and Russia 2020. Non english should also have Ukraine 2016, since it is impactful and haunted. And where is Loreen? Wasn't her your favorite? Haha Two categories that always bump in Eurovision are power ballad and Party hard

I don't know why I expected Loreen to be on there with Euphoria, but I guess that would've been too obvious😅 would've also loved seeing Verka Serduchka with dancing lasha tumbai in the W.T.F category or non-english category 😊 but overall, love the new concept, and glad that you put Tix with Fallen angel in there and Mørland & Debra Scarlett with A monster like me. I also really love those songs 😁

If you are showing this to people who aren't familiar with it, why would you avoid the obvious ones? Why avoid the successful ones? Why avoid the winning ones? And why avoid the good ones? The only one that I might exclude (for falling into all those categories) is "Waterloo". There was already a "WTF" category for (un)pleasant surprises. The rest could all have been "obvious" ones. (It would have made it more fun for the panel and for the viewers.) What's wrong with including "Volare" and having them say "I know it." and "I didn't know it was from Eurovision."? (At least they had Celine Dion, to provide something they already had a connection with.)
