Haha I remember there was a joke about the difference between Malaysians and Americans when it comes to spooky places. When Malaysians come across a spooky house, they'd just leave as fast as they can without entering. Americans would be too curious to not go inside and greet the empty house with 'Hello' lol

As a Malaysian , I think it was pretty scary. Amber court actually is one of the scariest for me because it's literally the hotel that everyone was talking about saying rumors that it was haunted. I'm kind of scared hearing the story from people. It actually gives me goosebumps for real. Well , thank you for visiting our country , Malaysia 🇲🇾.

Dont know whether you believed in supernatural creatures or not. But malaysia is famous for stories related to supernatural. Once shocked the world because police the security authority in Malaysia make a cooperation with a shaman to negotiate with the other realm to get back a UK girl who was lost or kidnapped by the other world creatures. Only after that her body was found death beside a river that previously been searched by many rescue teams. Have you read the story of a local male marathon runner who was dissapeared during running and up until now have not been found. So if you come to Malaysia for paranormal activity, dont get kidnapped by those creatures!

Its not haunted. Just the outlook was old by constant cloudy moist weather & near abandon. A waste the hotel should change name, refurnish it exterior & interior to look brand new. Genting is always pack with local tourists and not enough hotels. This one was beautifully build.

1) a British girl who was mentally challenged went missing and found dead in a forest resort in negri sembilan state. This is international news of course. Question : who or what lead her out of the chalet room in the middle of the night? Parents were negligent? 2) just last week, an Indian hiker went missing in Cameron Highlands. Not found.

There's a Hungry Ghost Festival that the Malaysian Chinese observe that's kiiinda scary.. They burn hell money and paper replicas of items like cars, houses, food, even iphones and these items were thought to appear with their loved ones who've passed in the afterlife, making their life there more comfortable... They have Chinese opera performances where the first row or at least a few chairs on the front row are left empty for the 'unseen' to enjoy the show as well.. But this was in August for this year iinm.. We don't really do Halloween in Malaysia, except for expat-concentrated and urban areas, and even then it's more of trick-or-treating, not so much on the spooky deco and stuff..

There are plenty of abandoned places in Malaysia, some of them used to be popular among the locals like Mimaland, just outside KL, and Teluk Dalam Resort on Pangkor island, but there are just too many abandoned places and projects in Malaysia.
