Ren on his way home one day after a busking session,heard a young lad singing and thought to himself “that lad has a very good voice” but was getting no attention, so Ren approached this young lad and offered him the use of his microphone and also offered to accompany him playing the guitar, within no time a large group of people gathered and were enjoying the talent of Sam and the rest is history

One of my favorite Ren and Sam colabs is the one featuring the angry parking attendant. They start sining in a parking garage because the acoustics are great and then they get run off by a parking attendant but they keep sining as they're walking out of the garage and it's really great. 😂

Sam has that buttery smooth voice, but to me there’s just something so uniquely special about Ren that just hits different. His range, unpredictability, and the way he *feels* music.

Sam's vocals are beyond! But Ren was holding his own, plus playing some superb guitar -- AND doing some beatboxing, AND live mixing the gear, AND throwing in some harmony. It's no wonder that amazing talent gravitates into Ren's orbit.

Nice reaction 👍❤ They were busking in Brighton. Brighton is special because you don't need a license to busk. The city council expressly welcomes musicians to busk in the district. That's why there are so many people at some performances. Sometimes the police even block off streets for them. There's even a YT video about 'Busking in Brighton' that shows some of the places Ren and The Big Push played at.

Can't wait until you guys check out Ren's Spontaneous Stream Jam live from Twitch, Humble ft Eden Nash, Ocean ft Eden Nash, Hold On, Diazepam, Jessica ft Jimmy Sharp (formally Orlean), 1990s Lyric Video, Runaway, Dominoes... Sam Tompkins and Ren's song Blind Eyed (there's 4 versions but the MC Sessions is the best IMHO, with the one ft Angry Car Park Attendant coming in second for me) and their songs What Went Wrong parts 1 and 2 are definitely worth checking out. Sam Tompkins also just released an album not too long ago called My Name is Insecure. A lot of great songs, a lot of deep ones that will get you crying.

That's one of the hallmarks of a true soulmate: you're getting relaxed enough in their company to let the self confidence of your own geek-galore-nightmare alter ego out on the loose TOGETHER with someone elses ditto, totally raw and unfiltered. I should know: I'm still with my (now) husband since like 25 years back, if you don't count the times I kinda got confused and walked out of focus - only to disappear from the picture completely, just to get sucked back into his giggly idiot humor again, so many times so I kind of learned how to relax and stop running from the best person I know of: Us. Oh my God, please do more Sam Tompkins too! He’s open for Justin Bieber and honest to God. The man has the most incredible voice. His original stuff is just so heartfelt and makes me cry. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a renegade and love red but when they’re together, it’s pure magic.

We do what comes naturally. I would never sit there like “i have this thought but im not gonna say it because someone might not like it.” That’s what other reactors do.
