@@oldscratch2610 Nah Chicago didnt create drill. UK had drill songs as far back as 2008 in Brixton and Peckham beef. Chicago started their first drill songs around 2010 - 2011. And Chicago drill beats sound way different to actual drill beats from the UK. UK has sounds from their own UK older genre called Grime. The fast tempo hitting snares and sliding 808s. So nah, UK drill came before Chicago drill and it sounds way different.

UK drill is far ahead in comparison to US. The thing is it's hard to catch the vocab and the phrases they use but once you get it you will understand there is no competition between the two. UK is astronomically clear of US.

yeah chicago started it in 2010-2012 times, then uk started their own chi inspired version of drill in 2013-2014 times then new york drill was made in like 2016-2018 times with inspirations from uk, thats why it sounds similar
