Apartments in Sweden rarely have a separate laundry room, they usually have a large one in the apartment building’s basement for all tenants to use, unless you buy one and put it in your own apartment, usually in your bathroom. The stove I’d say is basic, I don’t know many people who doesn’t have an induction stove these days (in modern homes). We don’t have screens bc the summer season is quite short, not a lot of bugs the other nine months. But some have them, you can just go buy them at the store if you want. Most people in Sweden take off their shoes when entering someone’s home, our fall and winter weather isn’t something you’d want inside all over the floors. Nice reaction 👍🏻😊!

Older apartment buildings have communical laundry rooms. Newer ones have a washer and a dryer, or a combined washer/dryer, in the bathroom (typically), or, if it's a large apartment, in a separate room.

I live in the USA and I have a house so I could not imagine having to live in a small apartment with no yard space. I enjoy working in my yard, trees, bushes, and garden. I also have a pool and live on the intracoastal waterway in Florida with a boat dock in my back yard. I can fish or sit on the dock and watch Dolphins, Manatees, and boats go by. I also have a large garage for both of my cars with plenty of storage and a washer/dryer. I have lived in Europe before and living in an apartment is not for me!

”Swedish houses have spiralstairs” No, not in houses. Perhaps in very small apartments with som kind of mezzaninfloor. Never ever seen it in houses.

Yeah, I would say that those spiral staircases are pretty uncommon in Sweden. I've seen it in one big apartment once (where there originally were two apartments), but where they built a two story apartment and built a spiral staircase since it saves space). But never in a house. But there are a lot of houses with a ...what is it called... an L-shaped stair case, so like most of the staircase is straight, but then it ends with a little turn at the bottom.

We have our own laundry rooms in Sweden too. Houses have a place to do laundry and apartment buildings always has a room for everyone to use AND it's free. I think it's wild that you guys have to pay to do your own laundry lol

Well, most apartmemts you get a set of times per month that you get to use the laundryroom (usually more if you have a bigger apartment) or at least where i live in Sweden.

If you're wondering why he comments on the "TV" being a "computer screen", it's because he's most likely dodging the mandatory TV license you have to pay if you own a TV :P That's not relevant today though, since everyone has to pay it. Pays for our version of PBS, radio and so on.

Space is at a premium in Europe so we don't have room for a laundryroom usually. Only rich people can afford buying such a house.

In Sweden I would say that like almost all houses, or more, have a separate laundry room, not just the rich people's houses. I've never been in a one-family house in Sweden were they don't have a separate laundry room, it's standard. Perhaps there are some very old houses where they don't have it, but that is very, very rare. In apartments on the other hand, it's usually just in the very big and expensive ones they have a separate laundry room. About 50 % of people living in apartments have a washing machine, in most cases in the bathroom, and the rest use the common laundry room in the basement.
