One point of etiquette in the uk, when eating the fork goes the other way up so the tines are facing down. We also tend to keep hold of the knife in the right hand. When we are done eating we put the fork and knife next to each other on the plate. If we need to leave the table during the meal then the knife and fork are separate on the plate.

Digestives are quite an old McVities product, first manufactured by them in 1892. The chocolate ones appeared in 1925. They were originally given that name because they were meant to act as an aid to digestion. They're very moreish. I remember having some dark chocolate ones with coffee at university. Before I knew it I'd eaten the whole packet! I had to book myself in for "Digestive Rehab" the next day! 😀 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digestive_biscuit

Biscuits are so called because they are baked twice as one would understand if you spoke French. This makes them crisp and brittle, not so of Cookies. Digestives when originally conceived were thought to assist with ones digestion system to round off a high tea. This would have been thought an attractive asset in Victorian times but these days things to assist with digestion are more like medicines for if things have gone bad. This now is perceived as an unattractive sales point to younger and foreign people.
