Lee what a beautiful line up, just one beautiful animal after another. To capture the phenotype and genotype is just incredible. Frankie is one of my all time favorites and I am so pleased to hear that his progeny and legacy continues . Looking forward to the future of the Robinson Line of APBTs. If you ever come out with a book, I want a signed copy :). Congrats my friend you deserve all of the success that the Lord will send your way.

I appreciate and respect your diligence, attention to detail, research, uncompromised information, sharing of your knowledge and your receipts. My most favorite dog I ever had was a Pitbull (alligator line) crossed with a Bull Mastiff. I purchased the dog in the early 90's.

Around 2005 or so I had a Hammonds dog that was heavy Alligator. We eventually bred her to a Mastiff as well believe it or not.

Great information and insight! Thank you Mr. Robinson. Do you think one of your APBT’s could also make a good house dog with a family?

You have the most technically sound pitbull and bandog program in the USA. I dont know any big name or small pitbull breeder that actually test their pitbulls hips. They just all assume they are good. This tell what kind of program you run. You dont leave anything to chance. That is a great trait.

Its almost as if these dogs are proof that a working dog can still look good. Impressive. Kinda like the complete Package,almost. I think some of his Sentianals might be the real total Package.

MR. ROBINSON. GREAT POST. QUESTION: I YOUR EXPERT OPINION, WHAT IS A BETTER PROTECTOR DOG, A.P.B.T. OR BANDOGGE. WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE A RESPONSE BECAUSE I VALUE YOUR EXPERTISE SO MUCH. THANKYOU.
@byrd702rebelcity46 күн бұрын
Easy answer: Bandogge by far. That’s what they are bred for.
@APBT-Bandog6 күн бұрын
A good APBT with the right traits can be an excellent protector, but on average they are smaller and less protective than a bandog. If you compare the perfect APBT for that job to an American Sentinel, then there may be little difference perhaps, but when you compare average to average, the American Sentinel is superior to the APBT...and that is because the extra size and because on average the typical American Sentinel has a more natural protective instinct.

what side of the family did the Skittish attitude come from?
@APBT-Bandog4 күн бұрын
Almost every line of gamedogs has a few examples of that trait. They do not select for nerves...they select for gameness, drive, and ability. So, when building a line of APBTs capable of doing hogwork and protection work, I wanted to eliminate that trait...and we have done so.

Do you consider your American Pitbull Terrier to be Gamedogs?

Lee, my sentinel 9 months old has super sharp teeth. Do sentinels just have extremely sharp teeth or as young dogs are their teeth sharper? She rips stuff super easily with little pressure and if she mouthes me it feels like knives not teeth. Also, how do I tell how intense my pup is? Like she's definitely got a lot of drive but I can win tug of war pretty easily and she doesn't always want to engage unless I do it right. Thinking this is my lack of skill to develop it, how do I tell her potential? She's echo aka Lela jean
@APBT-Bandog5 күн бұрын
She is yielding to you likely because of your alpha position...out of respect since you are her handler/owner. Make sure you are not too dominant over her and that you do not use too much compulsion. Keep it fun, and let her win when she does good...and her commitment should increase. As far as her teeth being sharp...our dog's teeth are unlikely to be sharper than any other dog's teeth.
@risky_.y81375 күн бұрын
Okay. I did try making her win, she definitely got more into it and her grip strength increased by like 7x but still can't pick her up yet without her dropping it. Also she won't have fun after like 2 mins. Unless I give it to her to bite, then take it back after like a min, and repeat. But at that point its more like she's trying to take it and tear it apart rather than a tug of war where she's actively fighting against me. But I'll try more of this. Also btw she's coming along nicely, she was 56 pounds when I got her, and she's 56 pounds now but way leaner and a little more muscle. You can barely see her ribs a little in the right lighting. She's also a lot more confident and getting more impulse control and respect for me which she had 0 of for awhile.

@APBT-Bandog5 күн бұрын
I have owned Sorrells, Hammonds, Eli, Chinaman, Mayday, Barracuda, Redboy/Jocko, Strickland, Greenwood, Patrick crossed dogs, Camelot (game based Camelot, not the weight pull stuff), and others over the last few decades...however, it should be obvious and not required to state that one does not have to own a line to have hands on experience with it OR even to have an education on the other lines out there.

Sir. Or ma’am these days who knows. You are….ding ding ding the winner for this comment thread. See every single post or video about dogs, especially pits, there is always at least one person who says several sentences that prove they literally know nothing about dogs. If they even owned any kind of special breed even for a short time, they would type different words. lol. I seriously am entertained by the continuous jabs at the top 12-15guys I know of who are basically bulletproof with the years of success they have in breeding multiple lines and still there’s always a 19yr old in his mother’s basement or a bitter broke 50yr old chime in some negative comments. Read books. And stuff
