I lived through the Khmer Rouge's genocide. I was only about 6 years old when the country was under Pol Pot's regime and 9 years old when it ended. Listening to this man testimony brings back those haunted and unwanted memories that most Cambodians are going through. Everything he said, I can relate to and been through. The Khmer Rouge stole my childhood. No child should have to live through starvation, forced labor, seeing people killed, or separated away from your family. Now, I find peace and love from my own family, my wife and two children.

What is communism? Nal Oum only had a few minutes left to live because of severe Malarial infection (疟疾病). And then an angel of God saved him at the last minute. After recovering, he became a refugee in America. He studied Communism for many years to understand why the communists did what they did to him in Cambodia . He learned that Communists start to brainwash you while you're still young. To make your soul become Anti-theist and Communist. So what is Communism? A state where you no longer enjoy private property and private life. A communist is an atheist who no longer believes in human rights . Karl Marx wrote in his Communist Manifesto that he would work against the Almighty God, meaning he would do the work of Satan. To attain a communist state, you need to gain power through intimidation by violence, by killing , and by destroying anything. Mao Zedong said that you need to gain the power through the barrel of a gun and gun powder.

The Cambodia my grandparents and parents grew up before 1975 is gone. Which is why they ultimately resettled elsewhere around the world. Sure there’s a Kingdom of Cambodia but it’s a vastly different country where this dark history is hardly even mentioned or taught in school. In fact, the few times it’s mentioned is when the ruling party uses it as a scare tactic on the population in order to remain in power.

The French did not allow much education and schooling. However, when Cambodia gained independence education was a priority and many went abroad to train in medicine, engineering, etc. only to all die. 400 plus medical doctors and staff in a country of 6 million. After the war I believe only 9 known doctors were known to survive or made themselves known and 7 left to Europe or America, etc. most engineers died no one to manage any infrastructure etc.

Such a sad story and finalized to blame Vietnam communist as part of the problem. Such an educated man and so indoctrinated by the US, fueled by his fear. He did not mention anything about the war between Vietnam and Khmer at the time, he told the story as if it was all an act of the communist as a whole. He totally forgot or ignored the fact that his beloved US had acted to support this very Khmer rouge regime from the start; purposefully ignored any whistleblowing from Vietnam in the UN at the time, and US voted so that the Khmer rouge had a chair at the UN until freaking 1993.

Haing S. Ngor was also a Dr and also survived the horrors of the Khmêr Krâhâm and was even imprisoned in S21 prison for a time. A lot of people like to listen to John Lennon's song "Imagine". When you really listen to this song you realise that far from being a gentle Peace Anthem, it is actually an anthem for hardcore Marxist ideology that is the Ideology of the Khmêr Rouge. Imagine No Possessions? Who's going to take your possessions? The Khmêr Rogue did it at the point of a gun. Imagine there's no Heaven? The Khmêr Rogue murdered Priests, Monks and Nuns and anyone for being religious. They believed in destroying the family. Look at what's happening in education now. They're undermining and destroying the family. They're destroying history, biology, and every other academic subject. Critical Theory is the ideology of the Marxist Khmêr Rogue.
@diaa90114 ай бұрын
oh my god, that is so true. "Imagine" is the anthem for Marxist ideology. Unbelievable. i'm sharing this message I wrote earlier... "Wow, Khun Nal Oum's last message sent chills down my spine. This is exactly what’s happening in America right now-these communist psychopaths play the long game. Their aim is to usurp global power, starting with the U.S. It’s truly frightening, and most people are still asleep, oblivious to the reality that the barbarians aren’t at the gate anymore-they’re already here, wielding influence through every major institution, whether it's education, government, entertainment, the news, or even the military. They are systematically breaking down the family structure with agendas like the trans movement, promoting radical feminism, emasculating men, and weakening minds through distractions like social media, TikTok, and propaganda. Their first major power grab was during COVID-19, when they locked everyone down, and the world obediently followed. It was clearly a test of power and control to see how far they could push people. Now that they know they can go far, they’re back at the drawing board, preparing for an even tighter grip. I truly believe we’re on the verge of seeing the next phase of their nefarious plan unfold. Immense respect to Khun Nal Oum for his courage, resilienc and bravery"

We should be grateful for the personal sacrifice of many Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia, but yes, the invasion was not for altruistic reasons. If Pol Pot had not ordered attacks on Vietnamese villages across the border, eg, Ba Chuc massacre, Vietnam would have done nothing. The scary thing is that the Khmer Rouge could have stayed in power for a very long time, only the stupidity of attacking Vietnam was their downfall

@@SBGNatureandCoffeeChannel Vietnam invaded Cambodia because KR was killing people along the Cambodian-Vietnam border. The Khmer Rouge was trying to liberate the entire Mekong delta from Vietnam, as those lands use to belong to Cambodia with over 400 hundred Khmer temples existing there since ancient times and indigenous Khmers living there now. Vietnam did NOT sacrifice to save the Khmers they did what they had to stop the killings by the Khmers Rouge in the Mekong delta. Please learn more about history and not twist the facts.

The Cambodian Holocaust, April 17, 1975 -January 7, 1979. Approximately 3 years, 8 months and 20 days. True terror and hell on earth, yet many scholars don’t recognize the main cause. One of the main causes of the event that many historians or survivors failed to recognize was the clashed between the rich and the poor, or the have and the have not. Although they have demonstrated the hatred between these 2 classes of society in movies and books, they still did not recognize it as the main struggle between the rich and the poor. Up to this day, the struggle between these 2 classes continues as strong as ever and the division gap between these 2 classes continues to widen, and will soon clash again! 😂😢😅 Though, it may not take place in Cambodia. It could be anywhere in the world. 😅

I don't mean to create any excuses for the barbaric act of Khmer Rouge. But we have to ask ourselves why it was possible. Let's face it. The majority of people in Cambodia were poor living in poverty. The war was boiling under the Lon Nol regime. Marshall laws allowed soldiers to distort and suppress everyone. When Khmer Rouge came, they didn't touch a thing of the people. It was so contrasted from the regime supported by the American government. They sacrifice for cause of their Angkar. When they won the war, they were above everything. Their newly found power leads them to revenge. That was real. They killed so they would never return to suffering in poverty again.
