Use a moving blanket underneath the grill to keep it from getting scratched up and then you won't have to chase it around

You can paint it yourself pretty easily. Adhesion promoter, then couple coats of paint, and clear coat.

Why do the 3 bolts on the top of each support bar need to be removed?

I love mine except for one thing you can see the bolts on the hood underneath the mesh
