She's not boring as some have commented below. She's just not getting trapped by certain questions and is very intelligent. She is not trying too hard to sound smart and informed....she just is. Amerie articulates very well, expressing her thoughts clearly without hating on another, using profanity, getting shamed into not doing interviews again, sounding like a robot or coming across like an empty, bubble headed numbskull. She seems to really enjoy engaging with others. It's nice to actually hear her talk. I can def follow her thought process. Keep it up, girl!

Ameriie is very humble and down to earth. She will never admit Beyonce took her producer and her sound... while AMERIIE isn't Beyonce... she was Beyonce before Beyonce went solo.. Beyonce stronged armed her (check her sound) Ameriie had that "Crazy in Love" sound from the very beginning of her career people... Ameriie could dance, sing and had the image... HOWEVER... Beyonce had all the power and took her sound, her swag and her career. Check the facts. Check out Crazy in love (which is one of her top 3 songs) and DeJa Vu (all Ameriie sound people). She will remain uncomfrontational and drama free that's why she won't feed into Charlamagn and The rest of the questions. She's very smart but to a fault. I think she should really speak up and own her sound... Beyonce took it... point blank. #word!

Shea Shine wow... "Ass face"??? Lol. Ok. I swear I'm not making it up. It is just the truth. Beyoncé took what she wanted... It's really no biggie... It's the industry way. Rogue remarks in an opinionated discussion is classless and shows a low level of intellect to have a thoughtful conversation. So.. Yeah.

Let's be clear on a couple things here because a lot of you are young as hell and know nothing on what you're speaking. Amerie's debut, All I Havs, was IT. That album is EASILY one of my top five favorite albums and this is coming from a Beyoncé Stan. I had the pleasure of meeting her years ago and she was EXTREMELY sweet. When she released Touch, she was still working with Rich Harrison, who infused a lot of the go go sound that many of you hear on that album. Rich is the one who offered Crazy in Love to Bey and from my understanding, Amerie and Rich had a falling out because she felt that he gave her sound to Bey. Bey didn't "steal" sh*t. In my opinion, Rich is to Amerie what Dark Child was to Brandy or what Timbaland and Missy were to Aaliyah. Remove that magic from any of those people and you're not likely to have the same material from the artist. Amerie is beautiful, extremely talented, and I still believe she could have a music career if that's what she's pushing for.

(Cont) but based on this interview, I can tell that she does it when she wants because she loves it and would rather not be driven by a machine. It should also be noted that while I can't vouch for her and Rich's falling out 100%, it always made perfect sense to me because after Touch, she started being all over the place with her sound. Rich, IMO, brought the best out of her. Anyway, she and Kourtney Kardashian are clearly twins. Amerie, you're the shit. Keep rocking!

Well she also calls DC her home so of course go-go is inbred in her. Side note my older brother was in her 1st video "Why Don't We Fall In Love" and I got to meet her on set. Even though she wasn't famous yet she was super cool and hung out with me and my mom and brother and sister during those 2 days of shooting & stayed friends with my brother and mother for years until they passed away.

EVERYTHING about this comment is accurate. Her and Rich had a falling out and he started working with Beyonce, but also Ameriie started reaching out to other producers for her 2nd album. Rich was like her Darkchild, I used to think the same exact thing for years. And yes her debut can be played front to back. No SKIPS.

You know she is a good girl. That is why you like to see her play bad. Her performance at world music awards with Sheila E is an all time classic. One day many years from now she will have her late moment and get her flowers. And that record „Man Up“ with NAS was among the best ever recorded.

That was real tacky the way Charlamagne kept throwing Beyoncé in her face. He was CLEARLY trying to bait her into shading Bey so the pesky ass fleahive will go on the attack (with their no life having asses). Luckily she was too classy & mature to take the bait. I respect that. #TeamClass #TeamMaturity #TeamUnbreakable

She's right about if you read books a lot, you may lack people to share it with. This is painfully an issue in the black community. Too many of us don't read a lick. That's one of the reasons why we're so vulnerable to those who understand psychology and use it against us and whitewash our history because we don't research ourselves to know better.
