I'm so happy to finally release the new and updated version of Uie's story (her name is written as both Uee & Uie). She is really shinning right now and is now one of the most famous actresses in Korea. She's the definition of outliving your haters and is hitting a new highest peak in her career :) Right now she's starring in a reality show, Fly on a Plane S2? As a flight attendant. Uee is without a doubt the worst case of public harassment and bullying in kpop I have seen and she stayed strong through it all. I'm glad she opened up on Life bar about all the psychological damage the body shaming did to her. People are still making a fuss over her body for the sake of clout, just like Lisa she uploaded a photo after gaining weight but people kept calling her too thin and forced her to delete it. No matter how healthy she becomes is people will never be satisfied.

The reason why some idol look “fat” to some even though they are at perfectly fine weight is the clothes. If you give perfectly fitted and styled clothes everyone can looke beautiful and gorgeous. But when you give smaller clothes to anyone they will look “fat” and not to mention how much the stage light make you look larger. And also when you give too tooo big clothes to underweight person they will look even smaller to the contrast. So maybe stylist can do one or two things to keep their idols from fat and skinny shaming.

I have been a Kpop fan since 2010 and almost immediately fell in love with Uee. Watching this video makes me both proud and sad because I have watched her throughout her career. She has worked so hard to get to where she is now and deserves every bit of it. I honestly don't think anything was handed to her especially with people trying to bring down. If there is one thing that has always bothered me apart from the hate comments is the fact that the members she spent time with probably saw what she was going through never supported her. I am sorry but correct me if I am wrong but I always felt like they were jealous of what she had and I get it in a way but I always felt that the comments they made always fuelled the hate for Uee. It's not in your video but I know that some members were on a show and said that Uee didn't bathe(or shower correct me if I am wrong) or Uee got all the attention. I always hated it because now I always see the old members in pictures and stuff. I'm just glad that she finally looks healthy again. I watched My Only One and frankly at the beginning she looks gaunt and sick and you can tell that by the end she had started to gain some weight back. It's true that the women in that cast all really looked out for each other and the veteran actor that played her father really looked out for her too.

I came here after watching her mukbang compilation in home alone. I was curious because I felt that there was something with the hosts being glad that she's eating and I was right. I didn't know about these maybe because I just knew and heard of AS before. Was kinda shocked that something like this actually happened in the group because I only knew the group was famous before. I never knew she went thru so much weight change for her roles. Much admiration for her dedication to her acting career, but I do think that such extreme yoyo-ing of one's weight cannot be healthy for her. I sincerely hope that Korean netizens can learn to be more conscious about their comments and be more forgiving of others. Don't judge. You don't know what others are going through.
