@benmack4525 Foster when reffing CP3 in the playoffs gives CP3 a 17% chance to win those games. It's the same thing throughout the regular season. Consistently. He needs to not ref CP3's games. That's all there is to it. Scott has also lost CP3 TWO game 7s. Plus, he's known to be involved with a rigging scandal, so he should be out of the game regardless. Dumb comment by you, tbh.

Im dont want to accuse anyone of defend anyone, but fair is fair. You saw the stats. He gives less fouls to CP than other refs. CP's stats with him as refs is the same as when other refs are officiating. And AM hoops has made a video on the kind of person CP is. If you haven't seen it, pls go see it. So ... who do you think is the problem?
@gregorio1234100
@gregorio1234100 5 ай бұрын
@@FrozenzFirez FYI, I'm no CP3 fan. But if you average the exact same stats for 150 playoff games, and you have a .566 winning percentage for 130 of them, but a .105 winning percentage for 20, that does not happen by chance. Something is significantly impacting the outcome. What's the main difference in all the games? Scott Foster has been in the league long enough to know that he can make a team lose without targeting a single player for every foul. A non-call on an obvious foul (against Paul for example) can also shift momentum. Look at just about every charge/block call. Foul out the 2nd best player on the team. Or just call two quick fouls on an impact player so they have to switch lineup plans due to foul trouble. To act like the only way Scott Foster could influence a game is by targeting CP3 is silly. I'm sure Scott Foster and Tim Donaghy appreciate your support though.

Exactly. The argument a lot of “fans”will instantly respond with is “well the other team was called for a ton of fouls too if not more so it can’t be rigged”. @@JonHop1 when Tim Donagay was arrested by the FBI, the FBI released a call list. Number 1 caller was his mob contact, and the 2nd contact was Scott Foster. Foster received 134 calls from Tim, and the next referee on his contact had 13 calls. After this whole thing blew up. Scott and Tim never talked again. Tim admitted to rigging about 4-5 seasons of nba games he and other officials have referred. He refused to give the names up of the other refs. The NBA was supposed to conduct an internal investigation, but instead, the commissioner released everything that was told to him to the public. The FBI was forced to go after the 1 conviction as they no longer had contact with anyone in the NBA and refused to comply, and the public hated the FBI because the NBA was spinning it. Why do you think there is no current or retired NBA player, coach, exec, or ref. Ever talk about the Tim situation. Cause they know it runs deeper than just Tim. Also, they tried to hide it. Cause it only just resurfaced with the CP3 and Foster situation. Isn't that funny about Tim's name being brought up every time we bring up fosters name?

Before games, it was reported that Donahue called Scott Foster for a minute or so. In the gambling world, sports betting analytics noticed in playoffs that the dog covered at a really high rate where pro bettors were automatically betting the underdog any game Scott Foster was reffing. It's not as high as it use to be, but it's still up there. I believe he got away from the phone calls cuz they always called on the phone before the game and the FBI had no evidence to get him. His call excuse was that they were best friends and Scott Foster was actually Donahue's best man at his wedding.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. I have a story about Scott Foster, from 1995-96. It came I think three DAYS after the Magic Johnson incident. I was at a Portland at Seattle game. Detlef Schrempf wasn't getting calls on offense, and he was complaining at Scott Foster a lot. He upfaked Clifford Robinson, and drew contact, and finally got to the free-throw line. Scott Foster said to Detlef, "The reason why I didn't give you any calls earlier, is because I didn't feel like it. And, I'm not gonna give you any more calls tonight." Before shooting his free-throw, Detlef mumbled, "F--ked Magic over." Scott Foster blew his whistle, "That's it! Technical foul on Number 11!" The Key Arena went crazy. Detlef was saying, "You thought that I was talking about YOU?" Detlef complained to respected veteran referee Hugh Evans, and Hugh was trying to calm Detlef down. Schrempf kept complaining at Scott Foster. To end the 3rd quarter, Detlef shot a 3-pointer, and Dontonio Wingfield of the Blazers knocked him down at the buzzer. No foul. Detlef got so mad, he slapped the floor. He then stook up, and glared at Scott Foster for a couple of minutes!

It’s not necessarily the fouls against a singular player that determines a game being won. It’s the little things over a course of a game such as momentum stopping fouls and possession calls. Especially in a tight playoff game, a couple calls against one side in a row can drastically change the game.

Fact is, every fan knows that Scott Foster is a horrible ref. And I'm talking one of the all-time worst. And I've been a basketball fan since the late 60s. However, rough refs are rampant in the NBA. But the profits made off of horribly officiated games helps the betting platforms. This is a multibillion-dollar business we are talking about here. And by the way, fans can prove just how right or wrong I am about this simply by watching Warriors matches: 1) Refs have officiated in ways that benefited Warriors opponents, primarily due to Stephen Curry's shooting average/marksmanship. In other words, refs create artificial handicaps against the Warriors whenever the Warriors get hot. And also call refs do not call obvious fouls against anyone guarding Steph Curry. 2) Chris Paul is now with the Warriors, so the refs will be even more heavy-handed with foul calls. This has already been happening this season with the Warriors.

Just imagine screwing up your job so bad that the product/service is completely unusable, doing it multiple times, having it broadcast worldwide, people discuss it at length how bad you are and then still keep your job. That job security is unmatched.

@A.M.Hoops Thank you for doing a piece on Scott Foster and Chris Paul. Please do more on bad officiating along with issues with other refs and a bunch of no calls. Time to put these shady refs in the spotlight please. For example, when Giannis got T'd up for doing the too small gesture when everyone does it in the NBA.

Yeah but in what universe does a player call a ref a b!tch and a Tech isn’t awarded?!?? I think Paul is instigating all of this and fueling this narrative

They should just not have him ref games that have them both together. Like if it’s honestly personal, then why cause confrontation by keeping them on the floor together?

Corrupt officals like Foster dictate the game by non-calls. The game moves on, teams have to defend, there is almost never a replay of missed calls too.

One avenue not explored could be that Chris simply tends to choke in big games, and Scott Foster refs an unequal amount of big games due to his "status." Also, he doesn't put up with whining as much as other refs do, so guys who naturally whine/flop more will inevitably get more techs if they don't chill out during his games. Not defending Foster, it's pretty clear he was apart of the gambling thing. But I don't think he's any worse of a ref than say a Joey Crawford. I just think he has a huge ego, which clashes with the huge egos of tons of NBA superstars.

Ref like Judge should be impartial and without an agenda. Theres an issue when ref is very personal and has a big personal agenda with a player like Foster has with Paul.

Foster is one of the guys that Tim Donaghy outed on Rasheed Wallaces podcast as one of the good old boys who was fixing game back in the day... and maybe still. I wish the NBA would stop having "points of emphasis" for each game. That literally can decide who wins and loses depending on how the ref interprets that.

Cp3 is always crying like a victim when he's the cheapest player. He complains and intimidates people into doing what he wants. He's the first one crying he's a victim of some sort, next thing it's about race if he don't get his way. It's a gotcha moment he's looking to stir up. It's what people are doing to get their way. It's like the kid that's acting up and being a little jerk all day and the parent snaps and yells at the kid takes their toy the kid starts crying his eyes out and won't stop the parent feels bad and is doing whatever they can to make the kid feel better ask them if they want their favorite meal get something they have wanted for a long time while they walk out to the kitchen to make their favorite meal, kid looks to see no one around with a tear filled face and smiles a unbothered smile because they fooled them into doing what they want. It's sickening watching adults do this.
