Sir, I've been listening to PPL probably a lot longer than you've been alive. I still have Bustin' Out on vinyl that I bought in 1977. I'm still in the very early stages of learning guitar. Amie is the #1 song on my wish list of songs to learn. I'm not quite ready for it, but I have to say, your lesson is the clearest of the lessons on this song I've seen on KZbin. Thanks, man. And I hope to give you a status report long before Christmas.

@@jkehew1 Hey. A couple of lessons ago, I discussed w/my teacher "Call Me, Tell Me," and told him that the string arranger was the lead Spider From Mars, Mick Ronson. This past week, I asked my teacher if we could start me on Amie. He said that it's too early for me for that song.

Great lesson but I'm curious about your comment that you avoid barr chords as much as possible. As a relative newb, I am still working to improve my barr chords but with all your experience...why do you choose that?

Just like the way it sounds. And all the other names were taken. And I love bikes of all kinds. And songs of all kinds. And it makes people curious. And I think there's some guy actually named Song Bike ....

​I like to think of it as once you learn to ride, the skill sticks with you forever. You can then begin to ride alongside others and even add some of their "tricks" to your own bike. Some of the mountains on the course of life are difficult to climb, but if you just keep pedaling, chances are that you'll grow in ways you never expected. :)
