That is so beautiful. We were very lucky to have a Pine Marten living close by when we stayed in a remote cottage on the west coast of Scotland, near Ardnamurchan Piont. She came every evening to feed on fruit etc that we had been left out for her and carried off whatever she could, we assumed she had babies close by. It was truly magical to see her. Thank you for such a detailed drawing brought back happy memories.

THOSE UNDERTONES. I have no words. It looks like you could touch and cuddle it, like it was real. You did an amazing job on that, it really looks fluffy! It's amazing :D

Thank you so much for teaching us about this animal, I’ve never heard of them before, so it was pretty surprising to hear about them. I’m so glad that you chose this composition. It looks so airy and gives the beauty of this work space to breathe. Honestly it’s just amazing what you’ve done, the Pine Marten looks absolutely gorgeous, the for looks so soft and velvety, and your use of color is perfect. 👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿

Absolutely amazing fur texture on this piece. My goodness. The way it puffs and fans out over the back and tail is so good. It looks soft and silky. And I appreciate knowing more about these amazing little animals.

Stunning pencil work, that fur looks so real and tactile. Such a shame these creatures are under such pressure for habitat.

Thanks so much 💖 it is a shame! They’re truly beautiful creatures and I’m glad I could give it a little more recognition 😊

I've never even heard of a pine martin, being from the US. They are beautiful animals. You use of color is just outstanding in his fur!

North America has a pine Martin as well! They are just very shy like the wolverine most people don't run into them often. The ones here are still opertunistic but do not rely on non meat foodstuffs as much

I second Kat's comment about your use of color in your pieces. It's so inspiring! As always, your work is stunning. Thanks for sharing the pine martin with us, I didn't realize how low their numbers were 💔 I'm glad they're working hard to save them!

I’ve actually seen a marten a couple of times, growing up in the woods in Sweden. They are not so rear here but they are still very shy! They are really cute!

I also felt like a dweeb for not knowing temperate forests! So much easier to just call it “woodland creatures.” =>.

For as far as I know the pine marter in the netherlands was hunted down for it's fur and is now thank god,protected by law it's a beautiful creature btw and I am so glad people are getting more aware of the fact that any living creature that is killed by human hands also can survive with human hands.

I actually just baught my very first set of artist colored pencils. How late into that am I? LOL. I got me the set of derwent's artis 72 pencils, the green tin. I know the derwent's core is fairly hard,specially for a wax based pencil. So I orderd me some zest it as well. I cant have other solvants due to extreme sensitivity to it, my head goes from normal to painfull before the thinner is even in my little beading jar. I Really hope zest it will do the job,cause I love the layering - side effect from using sennelier paints,lol -,but my reumathism hands cant handle blending much, hence, solvant. I was wondering if you have this line of pencils and if you are willing to show me some basic swatches with use of zest it on these??
@Amiehowardart6 жыл бұрын
I’m afraid I don’t own the derwent artists 😔 I have previously used coloursoft pencils and they work extremely well with zest it - as do most pencils :)
@joyfulldj6 жыл бұрын
I noticed I have a bit to firm hand with layering. Call it a learning curve,lol. Wouldnt be a big issue normally,but I almost hit the direct burnishing state due to it lol

Lovely drawing Amie. Do you use that FC grey1 pencil as an underlay for everything?
