In 1985, I recall first seeing the Amiga computer whilst reading "Creative Computing" magazine in Germany. Instantly, I wanted one! This computer was far ahead of anything else including so-called business computers such as IBM. Sadly, I could never afford one. By the time I could afford them...they stopped making them. I think it's time for me to take a chance and add one of these to my collection. Mahalo for a nostalgia-filled (or, more accurately, anemoia-filled) episode! Aloha!

The brother of my best friend had one, but that was as close to it as I got back in the day. I ended up skipping the amiga and going directly to the PC after holding on to the C128 for far too long.

@@retroandgaming Ah, yes! I had German friends who owned the C128 (what a SUPERB machine!) and the Aldi C16 (not to mention the C64). I had a American-market VIC-20 and a German-market C64 in the 1980s. Toward the end of the '80s, I felt I had to own a PC clone, because my workplace used them. A flatmate of mine had the Amstrad word processor; that was also an excellent system! I think I used his computer more than my PC for a while. Anyway, the fun of these PC clones back in the day was that they were so easy to get parts to modify them to one's needs and tastes.
