The Chaos Engine is a top-down run and gun video game developed by The Bitmap Brothers and published by Renegade Software in March 1993. The game is set in a steampunk Victorian age in which one or two players must battle the hostile creations of the eponymous Chaos Engine across four landscapes and ultimately defeat it and its deranged inventor.

THE CHAOS ENGINE is one of the most brilliant Amiga games ever made in the 1990's 😺👍🕹️. Me and my friends played it a lot on my Amiga 500 and my friend's Amiga 1200, when we were kids and teenagers back in the 1990's. I always played as Gentleman 😹😺👍🕹️. The graphics are amazing, the backgrounds are awesome, the characters are brilliant, and the soundtrack 🎵🎶 is magnificent 😺👍. 😺👍🕹️🕹️!

Another great soundtrack from the late, great Richard Joseph. I recently did an AY version of the "World 1 - Level 1" music... as I was crap at the game, back in the day, it's the only in-game tune I ever heard! ^_^

I Used to play this 30 years ago on the Amiga, then on the Super Nintendo, it was great in the day but looking at it again 30 years later you can pick up the samey samey levels and the dull disappointing bland colours. what a shame, but i do think that gaming was a lot more fun back then, just simple commands, direction, jump or shoot. too complicated these days
