That stretch of snow missions (6) in that campaign is when the difficulty level shot through the roof for me as a young'un Serious, save hostages, armoured barracks, liberal use of choppa, turrets, turrets everywhere, massive expanses of water and to top it off, turrets on armoured bunkers. The developers are geniuses

At 42:30 there is a one-time item hidden behind the snowman in the top-right corner, that one of your soldiers invincible for the phase. If you blow up the snowman you can see it's a bullet-proof vest. Shame it doesn't carry over!

Wen I was 9 or 10, that fifth desert level was the hardest challenge of my life. I was stuck on it for around a year with a cheap Amiga mouse!

A few tips for anyone playing this, you can squash soldiers with heli just land on them, use the heli to distract an enemy turret and send a soldier in with a grenade to take it out, also tanks can be distracted with a heli and lure them near enemy turrets to blow them up.

@grathapilot I'm stuck on that level at the moment, it's been about 17 years since i played the Amiga version and just bought the PC version off GOG but playing it i can see an awful lot of glitches, tiles completely out of place, get in a helicopter and a sound of bombs dropping and dying screams plays, throughout the game, and now level 12:6 the helicopter just stays over a pad dropping bombs. But the turret on the factory roof can be accessed from the ground so that would be some help.

I never got past 'chill out iceman'. The PC version was bugged (I didn't know about that 'till I read it on the net recently) and I coudn't figure out how to beat it. Sucks to have got that far and be stopped by something like that :'(

How did u pass mission 11x3? I destroyed all turrets, all buildings, helicopter and killed all soldiers, but I'm still in the mission. Is there a bug in this mission or something?

Not sure what version of this game you are playing, but here's an interesting note. When you shoot a bazooka at a turret in the DOS version, it doesn't explode. Never happens. Nice hacks though.

mission 9 2 of 2 is furthest i ever got before disk fucking stopped working also was soooooooo hard!!! been about 15years man since watched it. almost cried at all the hours i spent playing brought back memories!! wow misson 10 5 of 5 no way i could do that!!

To destroy 2 turrets for the price of one, just send a rocket/grenade between both on mission 9-2 :D Kabuuumm..... And you've saved one ammo ;)
