Searched for this after seeing Brightlight from Decadence interviewed on Viva Amiga Extended Remix. Great demo, smooth vibes :)

The visual effects in Amiga demos are generally programmed in motorola 68k assembly with higher level functions (animating etc) often in C. The music in most modern Amiga demos is in the ADPCM format which isn't too heavy on the CPU to decompress unlike more modern formats like MP3 or OGG.

@Szeki28 haven't seen the whole demo yet, but usually there are no bitmaps in the demos, but scalable graphics (wheter 3D or 2D). The rest is generated on-the-fly from a set of formulas. The music would also be to big especially in an an uncompressed format. so they use built-in samples and generators and do transforms on them (think MIDI).

@judgewest2000 As with all the Larger Amiga scenedemos. the music is a prerendered wav file and streamed along to the scripted animation and effects. Fast cpu is required to churn out the effects from the python interpreter. Getting it all to work at all all I guess is the technical achivement on the Amiga ;)

Beautyfull music, and typical unfigurative style, good atmosphere.... But........ Is there anybody, who saw the original files? BMP files, and simple WAV music? What's is it? Programming anticulture PC?
