I totally agree with Amiga Power - I love that magazine! If a game is a classic it should get a 9 or 10; if its playable it gets a 6, if its only worth playing once it gets a 4, and if you can even recommend playing the game once then it gets a 2. As you say, it offers a lot of potential but the maze wandering instantly get boring and the controls make it unenjoyable. I certainly had more laughs watching you play it than I did playing it. Same with games like Wrath of the Demon and Guy Spy. Thanks for the tip about Dune, will post it on Lemon.

I like the mag but some of those reviews scores have always been a bit ropey. Always have to second guess what they are talking about with some games! It's such a shame that they spoil most of the fun, for the bits where I was fighting the spider it felt like it just needed a nudge in the right direction. Wrath of the Demon is def on my list if I can find a good interview about it!

I can sort of see where AP were going too, are 3/4 of games more worthy of £30 than this? Yes they probably were. Now we judge by slightly different rules. I've recommended things that were bloody awful because you'll spend 30 minutes discovering this and have a ball. But if £30 was involved I'd be metaphorically kicking their head in. It's difficult.

Just a shame its so disappointing to play. All that money for it and you end up with something like this.
