Update: I used this head/neck method on my teddy (Winnie the Pooh) and it looks amazing and very neat, I am ecstatic!! 😂. I have Eeyore ready to sew together as well and have started Tigger, and will use this method for them too. Then on to Piglet, Roo and Heffalump. I haven't checked if the channel I'm using (Knitoys and Crochet) has the rest of the characters, but I'll make the whole lot if she does. I will never attach the head to the body any other way again ❤❤❤

What is the reason for chrocheting on the inside of the work? It is more difficult, i dont see the reason? Please explain.

Back loop only will make a taller stitch than crocheting in both front and back. Unsure if that was your question exactly

I think they mean that tube crocheted at the end of the head, that you stuff back inside the head to attach the head to the body, with the neck "tube" being inserted into the head...uh...tube. @cguajardoduran It just makes the neck and head part sturdier and way easier to connect the two. Instead of ending the head with e.g. 12 stitches on bottom of head, and ending the body with twelve stitches on top of body and trying to sew the two together. There's no support if you have insufficient stuffing between head and body, and the head will be wobbly. The long neck-tube acts like a dowel. You would also be able to make the head moveable using this lady's method, watch Green Frog Crochet's moveable head tutorial. They use the same tube inside the head/long neck method.

Not if you want a smoother head/body. Do you have a bunch of holes in your face/body? Does Barbie? Let her make as realistic doll as she wants. Why so mean?
