Hi. New subscriber here. An area where i struggle is stuffing and sewing their parts together. I ordered a bent tip tapestry needle to see if this doesn't help with a better finished ami. A video with tips would be great.

I recently found your channel and am working my way through your content. Several years back i tried amigurumi but was so frustrated. I'm ready to try again and this time i'm trying to use better suited yarns. No disrespect but i found cheap acrylic yarns just weren't giving me the results i was after. I went with a mid-range wool/acrylic blend and i also invested in a better hook. These two upgrades have been game changers.

Hi Elise, Thank you for sharing your piggies are too cute! Mr and Mrs Le Petite Saint I love all your work, and I hope to be able to create beautiful Amigurumi toys too. For the 4 toys I’ve made over the last few years I’ve only used cotton or chenille yarn. I’ll definitely have to try the berrocco vintage and paintbox wool mix sometime. Take care and stay safe and well. God bless you all 🙏🏼🧶💗😻🦋🧸

I love using Knit Picks Palette yarn for my amigurumi. It’s a Peruvian highland wool in fingering weight. It’s real purpose is for making socks and garments but I love how lightweight it is. And ohh the colors. There’s so many to choose from. And honestly it’s pretty affordable. Like $4 something a ball. And they last forever when doing the small amigurumi that I make. Skin tones and garment colors tend to run out faster but again. Pretty inexpensive when compared to other natural fibers.

Another video so fun to watch! I have two suggestions for future videos. 1) "Plushies" are all the rage right now, and I'm wondering if you have ever tried the bulky yarns for amigurumi. 2) Could talk about copyright infringement, especially as it relates to Disney items? So many makers are selling Disney patterns on Etsy, and I'm quite sure they do not have permission from Disney to do so. As always, I will watch anything you put before me!

Something I just noticed! I was scrolling through my video recommendations and I saw the top part of crocheted pigs on my screen. Before I scrolled down to the title, I knew it was yours. I think we all develop a style, kind of like handwriting, as we learn our craft. There are two or three other crochet channels that I think I could pick out their work in a police line-up! Have you noticed that yourself?
@EliseRoseCrochet2 жыл бұрын
I have noticed that!! I can pick out some people's channels just from their thumbnails too! It's hard to see your own style, but I can definitely see it in others! 🐷🐷🐷

This was a very useful video. I'm here because of Val of Old soul crochet. You've been crocheting since 2016? Very impressive. I watched your vid about how to become a crochet instructor, also. I always wondered how to go about becoming one since I've been crocheting since 1992, and I can follow pretty much any pattern, as long as the pattern is written correctly.

The little piggies are so cute! I always worry about overstuffing or under-stuffing. Don’t want the stitches to stretch but also should shape it correctly. Do you have any tips?
@EliseRoseCrochet5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Stuffing is really important for amigurumi. For crocheted toys overstuffing just a little is best because over time the toy will deflate a bit. Changing to a smaller hook size or increasing your tension can help with the stuffing not showing through the stitches as well. I have a video that I touched a little on stuffing and I will link it below for you. But maybe I should do a whole video on it. I get asked that question a lot! kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGG5mWitfcR_Z8U

I'm mystified by yarn terminology. I'm catching on. However, what does Aran weight vs worsted vs DK mean? All of yarn is from craft stores. They are acrylic #4 weight for the most part. I only buy clearance because I'm a beginner. What can you tell me about this? Is it worthy of a video or do you already have a video on the topic?
@EliseRoseCrochet3 жыл бұрын
Hello! I know that can be confusing to beginners. There are basically two ways that you can categorize the thickness of the yarn, by numbers and by labels. So a #4 is also a worsted or Aran weight yarn. If you do a Google search of yarn weights explained you will find loads of information!! Good luck!! 🧶🧶🧶
