After starting out discussing the new prequel for Willy Wonka played by Timothée Chalamet and if Willy Wonka should be considered a murderer, Amin Elhassan dug up an old 'Black in my day' from six years ago where he shares that Roald Dahl originally had written Charlie Bucket to be black but his book agent changed that, which led him to looking at the storylines of the entire Dahl catalog of literature where he found a theme.

If the original Willie Wonka had cast black actors, people around the same age of the white actors at the time (and, of course, I Googled this) could have been Scatman Crothers as Grandpa Joe and Michael Jackson as Charlie. There are several other notable names born around when Michael was, but probably not as famous as he was in 1971. Also, I kind of agree with Jere-May Tasho-ay, Wonka did seem a bit psychotic. Mass murderer? Someone count the Oompa Loompas!
