I was pleasantly surprised when the answer turned out “God gave Jerusalem to the Lord Jesus Christ”. Of course. God prepared the City for Himself. How did I miss that? Prophecy is not being taught in the mainline denominations. And they wonder why church attendance is falling. I never expected the falling away to happen from within the pulpit but it is just as in the book of Malachi. The Lord reveals the corruption of the priesthood and the polluted sacrifices. Great teaching. 4 minutes 40 seconds into teaching, a note to the teacher... Judges 1:8, Jerusalem was originally taken by Israel, shortly after the death of Joshua, the tribe of Judah brought sword and fire to it. Jerusalem eventually became the capital of Israel with the ark under King David. Jesus Christ will reign over the earth, from there during the earthly Messianic Kingdom. :)
