Amira is widely considered the best singer in the world. Over 1 billion fans. Also receiving a 50,000 standing ovation at the age of 9. On Hollands got talent. At 18 now she has only gotten better! The best thing is, she doesnt even have to try to reach those notes. Shes just that good Over 1 billion fans Over 3 billion views Amira doesn’t even need to try to hit those notes. They are easy for her. There is nothing else for her to learn or be taught. - Tone? Perfect - Pitch? Perfect - Vibrato? Perfect - Breath Support? Perfect - Breathing? Perfect - Flat? Not even once - Sharp? Not even once - Off key/tune? Not even once Everything is literally perfect. She is like Pavarotti but 1000x better in every way. Amira doesn’t even have to try to hit those notes. She has perfect pitch and perfect tune. Her voice is fundamentally and quite literally perfect. There is not even a single flaw or thing she has to work on. Any song is EASY for Amira! She’s only 18 now Imagine whe she is full grown!!!

12 year old girl, singing about her dreams of a better world, where people live in peace, and are free, like the clouds, that fly. There is a version with an English translation. It's not surprising people are brought to tears, but is also the beautiful purity of her singing that touches people. I was already following your comedy channel, and a fan of Amira, so putting the two together, it's a pretty good combination. Long may you prosper Squirrel.

This beautiful aria with music by Ennio Morricone from the film “The Mission,” and lyrics added by Chiara Ferraù is about an imaginary world of peace and harmony. I presume the implication is that this is the fantasy of the missionary which provokes enormous irony. The “mission” of the missionary is to persuade the indigenous people to abandon their cultural traditions and superstitions in favor of the missionary’s culture and superstitions. Europeans generally regarded indigenous peoples to be “savages” in need of “salvation.” So the fantasy is presumably about a world of European culture and superstition, rather than of any sort of diversity or inclusion.

Woah big lump in throat time. Gabriel's Oboe was a favourite piece of music of my dad's which he asked for it to be played at his funeral and as we walked in to the church to this piece of music the sun came out. Took me right back there. This young lady's voice is soft and pure and was so right for the piece.

A bit of background information: Amira's introduction to the South African audience was in July, 2016, at the first of a new style of concert put on by Coleske Artists and aimed at the white population of Johannesburg and Pretoria; they called it "Classics is Groot" ("Classics are Great"). She was a guest artist at that concert and sang "O mio Babbino Caro" (from the Puccini opera "Gianni Schicchi") and then a duet with Patrizio Buanne, "O Sole Mio" (O my sunshine) - a popular Neapolitan song from 1892, and then "Nella Fantasia" which is a song written by the late Ennio Morricone from the popular Italian film "The Mission". The concert you have just reacted to was from November 2016, called "Afrikaans is Groot" (because it was aimed at the Afrikaans - speaking population); Coleske Artists had planned nine performances, but when it was announced that Amira would appear, they had to increase it to eleven performances - and Amira's parents had to bring a tutor from The Netherlands before Amira's school would allow her the time necessary. The introduction is called "The River".
