Why not use the multimeter? Friend, its a very good idea but it does not exceed 500wattz. It is not possible, as the copper wire of the old motor winding is very thin, it would take a much larger gauge wire to handle more than 100 amps to have 15000 watts. Power is calculated by multiplying voltage x current, so it's not true.

The steel would saturate limiting the power out , check the calcs simple maths .... 1500 watts / 230 volts = 6.5 amps , thin wire about 1 mm diameter , with a flux density of 1.2 webers per meter squared on a stator that size , 4 pole motor , eight slots for the coils each of the four coils would require approximately 500 turns, stator slots would have to be , 500 x 1 x 1.1 ( packing factor ) 22 x 25 mm cross section , pole pieces would have to be the same size = 25 x 16 x 2 = 1600 / 3.142 = 256 / 2 : 1 taper = 125mm inside diameter, Rotor = 122 mm diameter, outside diameter of the stator 25 x 16 x 2 = 1600 / 3.142 = 256 / 1 : 2 taper = 500 mm ... that tiny is no where near what is required ......... to get get 15,000 watts

I doubt highly that his DIY fabrication have the ability to produce 15,000 watts. If he can show us powering a 5,000 watts electric dryer or an 5,000 watts electric oven, only then I will believe. That corded electric drill is only 400 watts, not even 5,000 watts. I can run that same electric drill with a regular car battery using an inverter. Tell him to plug a 5kW electric dryer with his homemade DIY contraption, I doubt it will even produce 1,000 watts. I doubt his claim of 15,000 watts. Not even a 300 lbs alternator can produce 5,000 kW using a 3 horsepower motor. LOL!!! A 300 lbs alternator would require a minimum of 38Nm of twisting power of torque to spin the shaft and must reach 300 rpm to achieve 5,000 watts. And a 3 horsepower motor would require a minimum of 2,000+ watts 220 volts @ 9 amp to run it! To reach a 300 rpm, the motor must reach a minimum torque of 260 Nm at least. LOL!!!

Dude, just look up the RPM of a 12v DC motor. Also, the magnets were just chosen to fit in the slots and there is no spec on them, any will work. Lastly, any RPM will work, however know this. If you hook up a variable RPM motor and can adjust it in real time, when you hit resonance with the magnetic flux then you will get maximum power output.

Don't get sucked in this is bullshit. It's taking peoples desire to solve an important issue and sprinkle a little fairy dust on it. No motor or generator can produce more power than was put in to it. It doesn't matter how many rare earth magnets you stick in it. The motor/generator idea isn't new. If you put 100Kw of mechanical energy into turning the shaft of an alternator you only get 80Kw out, and that assumes you have one of the most efficient alternators in the world. They are typically a lost worse than that, like in the 50% loss range. Now feed that 80Kw back to the motor and surprise, you don't get 80Kw worth of rotation at the shaft due to frictional losses, design inefficiencies, air resistance. Now motors are fairly efficient, say around 85% to 90% so it's not as bad as the alternator but importantly it's still less than what went in. So, you can spin the shaft of the alternator with a string, hoping to start it and the motor may indeed turn but once the string runs out the whole mess will just stop. No excess power to run your ice cream machine, sorry. C'mon folks, think for a minute. Don't you think if this idea really worked nobody would have "discovered" it before this video? If you think maybe it's because of the power companies suppressing the technology... LOL, you have even more issues. Put on your tinfoil hats to keep the aliens from reading your mind.

Ein Generator für Blockheizkraftwerke erzeugt zum Beispiel 3000W 500V 6A bei 3000 Umdrehungen. Wenn ich einen Motor mit der gleichen Drehzahl nehme mit 550W 230V 3A, müsste ich doch viel mehr Strom raushaben als ich verbrauche oder wieso sollte das nicht gehen??? Ich lasse mich gerne belehren. Ich könnte noch einen kleineren Motor nehmen der weniger verbraucht und mit einer Übersetzung von zum Beispiel 4:1 arbeiten. Dann wäre es doch noch effizienter. Wäre für eine Antwort dankbar.

I checked the rating on those type of motors and it is ~150A. I believe that motor can do from 8kW-15kW, so his claim is plausible. The reason he gets that much more power is that he removed the drag (Back EMF) wiring, and he added the permanent magnets. If your concern is if the motor wiring can handle ~70A after the mods, it can. Recall that by law, your device rating has to be much higher than the operating Amps to prevent fires in case of a short, so maybe it only draws up to 10A during normal operation before the circuit breaks, it can handle up to 150A without melting the motor.

I've torn apart a lot of that sty;e motor for the metals-I do casting and such so I knew visually what I was seeing just not part names. I am guessing the drag/EMF was the part of the inner core he cut off or the lever arm thing he pulled near the start? I did not quite get the wiring at the end with the harness where he took the single stand I would assume was a ground and tied it in to one of the harness wires-something I would have to study a bit to figure out assuming most of the wires are never used and it is 12v DC so one positive, one Negative.

The motor won't melt, that's what it's fused for. All single-phase motors are produced up to max. 3kW connected load for household appliances. At 150 Amp. continuous load, which you will not reach anyway for physical reasons, the stator windings would glow and burn out in a very short time. Every motor generates a back EMF because it is both a motor and a generator. A generator produces this back EMF which is then used for the power supply. What you call resistor wiring is nothing more than the rotor winding that is used to generate the magnetic field on the rotor. With this, you certainly generate a higher magnetic field than with these ridiculous permanent magnets.

Think this is OK as far as it goes but the system surely boils down to a voltage converter and the output can never be more than the rating if the 12V motor so not sure how this can be 1500W? It would be more interesting to see power produced through a wind turbine, perol motor etc.

Hey. In the next video can you show even more pointless spinning of whatever you are hacking. It was fucking riveting. Plus hot glue being used to attach parts inside a motor that will get hot while in use is a great idea. I once lost the bolts for the brake calipers on my car. A couple glue sticks later and that bad boy was ready for the road. It was on the back of a tow truck, but that doesn't matter. It was on the road. Keep up the good work.
