Not an entitled person story but I'll share mine. I was on a ride from Tokyo to London and one thing about me is that I get travel sick, bad. About three-quarters of the way, I couldn't hold it in anymore and went to the nearest toilet to throw up. The attendants were nice, and gave me some water and a pill to take to use my sickness. I thanked and apologised to them. They said it was no worry but I still said sorry anyway.

Not airline related but I used to work at a hotel. We had a guest check in who wanted a suite room, we didn't have any because they were all booked. She WENT OUTSIDE AND LOOKED IN WINDOWS and then came back inside and informed us that "there's nobody in three of your suite rooms, give me one!" She had no concept of reservations.

I have absolutely asked people if they would mind switching seats so I could sit next to my husband, but only if I have an equal or better seat to offer them.

I don't get why entitled people feel the need to be on the plane first? Its not like youre going to depart before anyone else. You're just sitting in a smaller seat for longer

I will confess, at one time I WAS the jerk! This happened back in the 80’s. I lived in Houston at the time. My dad drove down from NY to see me.He stayed a week, then he was going on the Florida to visit the Grandparents. As it was the weekend of the French Quarter Jazz Festival in New Orleans, we decided to drive to the Big Easy, enjoy the festival, then I would fly home and dad would drive on to Florida. Good plan, right? We had a blast that weekend. Then dad drove me to the airport. I was booked on a Continental flight to Houston. Everything was fine. I checked in, checked my bag, then went to get some lunch before the flight. At that time, non-passengers were still allowed to go to the gate with the passenger, so dad stayed with me until my flight was called. Only it wasn’t called. Instead, there was a sign at the gate saying the flight had been cancelled. No explanation given. We went to the Continental desk to find out what was going on. Apparently, another flight was delayed, and the crew that was supposed to fly our plane were stuck in another city. Ok. I took that in stride until I was also told there would not be another flight until TUESDAY…and this was SUNDAY, and of course I had to be back at work on MONDAY. I still held it together until I was told all other airlines were booked full and I was stuck. So, dad and I talked. I said just get my bag and take me to the bus terminal. I would take the bus back to Houston. However, dad decided to drive me back, then turn around and drive to Florida. This is almost 700 miles out of his way! But, dad being dad, he was adamant. So, next we went to the luggage department and asked for my bag. After much hemming and hawing, I was told they lost my bag! They would have to find it and send it on. So, I lost it! I told the attendant that I knew it wasn’t his fault BUT….. I don’t think I have ever before or since been as completely frustrated as I was that day. I am not proud of the tantrum I threw, and I have never forgotten that moment. It is the only time in my life when I just let go and lambasted someone like that. Sorry this was so long! I do have a lot more patience today than I did then. And, yes, I did make it home and the airline found my bag 3 days later.

The worst one here is the one who demanded free drinks because somebody had passed away
@smileyeagle10218 ай бұрын
Story 11, I can completely understand the desire to have a drink after finding out that there was someone who died on the flight, that sounds like it would be rather traumatic... that he should be entitled to freebies due to the "inconvenience" though, yeah, that's a bit bullshit. I definitely would be offering to buy the flight crew a round if they were allowed to drink on shift.

Very rarely I encounter a male karen story that I had extra verbatim on but I’m mad at my phone and don’t bother to rewrite all that I lost on the comments section. I really am thinking about chucking my phone out the second floor window because of losing two verbatim comments due to phone dying very inconveniently.

I apologize but I hate my old iPhone 8 so much this year for interrupting two very wordy comments in progress for how miniscule my phone battery has been getting. It’s used to last all day but lately I have to recharge it 4x a day.
