When I was 16 I saw a movie with my own 33 year old face in it, with me doing things I did later on in life. When I saw myself doing it, in real time, to match what was done all those years ago, I was as surprised as anyone could be. I did not buy that shirt just to fulfill some silly scene. These days I don't ask "Wtf?" about it, but rather "Htf?"

A car hit a stopped truck, as the police were picking up the mess, a cop picked up a motorbike helmet and a head fell out, ....... red light. The speeding car hit the stopped motorbike and pushed it under the back of the truck. I was only 5 foot away when the head fell out and passed out with shock.

If we're talking animal stories, I've had plenty after living among the amazingly tall trees of the Karri forest (in the South-West of Western Australia), but there is one that stands out as an utterly perfect moment. I was driving down the South-West highway on my way to an appointment & 'because it was such a lovely warm Spring day (about 25°C in November, I think) I was enjoying the lack of traffic & had my window down with my arm resting on the door. All of a sudden, I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. Flying along in the lane next to me was a huge *Wedge-Tailed Eagle.* (As an aside, these birds are well known to often hang out near major roads, like the SW Highway, because of all the free carrion from kangaroos which get killed by cars.) It was just floating along, barely needing to flap its huge wings as it used the hot air rising from the road to keep aloft. It had appeared from out of my blind spot & was now curiously peering in to look at me so closely it seemed like I could reach out & touch it. The feathers of those great wings were gorgeous, with many shades of gold & brown & black, and a hooked orange beak easily as long as my hand. This whole situation felt quite surreal to me as I was driving at about 90km/h, but what really grabbed my attention was the remarkable sense of curiousity - and seeming intelligence - I could see in that enormous golden-irised eye. While the whole incident must've only lasted two or three minutes, it seemed much longer before the eagle flew up & over the trees alongside the road, letting out a shrieking call as it went out of sight. I actually had to pull over to the side of the road for a couple of minutes and sit there to try to process the experience. Perhaps I'm anthropomorphising when I say I saw intelligence in the way it was observing me, but I don't think so (I've spent time with an *African Grey Parrot* & they're basically the geniuses of the bird world). All I know for certain is that I could live to be a hundred & I don't think I'd ever be able to forget the look in eye...

The second story reminds me of my mom’s story when she was 18 and working at Riverfront Park it is city park that is on an island that is split apart by the river that the city is named after in PNW. Anyways a woman comes running up to my mom and exclaims that the swans are killing the ducks. My mom retorts they are wild animals there is nothing she can do and what do you expect me to do jump in the river and stop them. And would like to point out that the river while still in the city has a waterfall at the end of the island in the river.

For the gun one. No your brother isn’t an idiot. That distinction belongs to you and your friend. Firearms are often kept loaded and ready to go your negligence and inability to simply clear a weapon or better yet leave someone else’s weapon the fuck alone is what almost killed you. Your fault 110% of the time.
