The father who allowed his wife to name his new child the same as his first child is ridiculous. Let's say the name is Sarah. If I were the OP I would refer to the new child as Sarah #2.

For the wedding story: the bride doesnt deserve forgiveness since she didn’t confess or apologize at all. What did the groom expect? It's his fault with the timing. He decided to drop it the day of the wedding. They could have told her after (although that's a selfish move too) or early enough to get another maid of honor. The bride and her idiot husband did this to themselves. OP deserves and apology from them and the ex, but she doesn't have to forgive them.

About the first story, I feel a little bad for the other people that tried to apply for the position? Like the good applicant that got asked dumb questions on purpose. Interviews already set me on edge, if I had that experience it would worry me for every future interview. Other than that, great revenge.

That second story, hooo boy. I have a "brother" who's actually just my best friend that I've known for 25, almost 26 years. We have the same first name, with different spellings, but obviously different last names. We *intentionally* mess with our friends and family by both responding when people call us by our first name. It annoys our family to such an extent, that even in private my mom calls me by my last name now, and has for 10 years. The GF doesn't see why this is a problem, she's going to in 5 years, especially if the older girl becomes a smartass like me and my brother.

Story 3: This is straight from the guilt tripping book. OP didn't ruin anything, they did it. They aren't upset because OP did that, they are upset they are now seen as awful people for calling OP out and then the affair been uncovered, making the bridezilla look like the jerk in this situation.

last story, i remember when i used to work for a big company in the hospitality industry, if you're late even for a second, they would remove 1h pay from your pay, and if you're going to be late you need to call the HR DEPT for it, even if you're already late you still call them for it just to let them know to sched other people to your spot, i used that to my advantage when i was gonna be late or was already late, i will be in the staff room doing nothing till after the last min of the hour, this was max of 4 times a month to be late

The mother with the name issue needs to watch out and get her daughter's interests protected by getting a legal child support agreement with the father. Ot sounds like the new girlfriend is going to try to force him to disavow his older daughter, since she knows that she has him and his father wrapped around her fingers. Picking the same name as his existing daughter is just her first step.

Training your replacement: -Teach them every loophole you’ve learned to avoid doing as much work as possible -Tell them all the wrong locations for things -Always provide the wrong time tables and schedules -Tell they the wrong way how to use all resources (tools, computers, etc.) -Give them the wrong information on the most crucial subjects (but don’t get them killed or hurt) -Make sure to teach them to do all the stuff your boss hates the most and would go ballistic over if an employee did it (not covering food in microwave, not flushing, etc.) -Teach them everybody’s name, but give them the wrong names for the wrong people -Show them all security camera blind spots, and how to sneak in and out without management seeing them. -Teach your replacement the most annoying nicknames for the bosses and convince them the bosses like/insist on these nicknames being used

Story 2 I just can’t believe the dad in this situation doesn’t see the issue that this woman is setting up. Like think down the line as the girls grow up, it will be so confusing which one you are talking about and a 10 year old is old enough to find that weird. But think even older, when those girls are adults on their own or applying for colleges and tax stuff it will be very confusing if on paper the only difference is a birth date and social security number. This isn’t just being horrible to the 10 year old but setting up the baby for issues too.

Story 2: Normally I'd say people don't have a say in how other people name their kids, but this is an exception. OP is in the right, this girlfriend has no idea just how much confusion and annoyance this is gonna cause the sisters in their lives. If she has more than half a braincell, she should the name. Story 3: Maybe OP is not a good friend for leaving the wedding like that. But guess what, the bride was not a good friend either when she slept with her friend's boyfriend and ruined their relationship in the process. If you're being a jerk to people then you should expect to be treated like one.

I had a job that had really stupid rules like that where if I was five minutes late it was a write up or we had a point system . Then when you would call out they would say tell us a few hours beforehand and I would but then they would say no you need to call out the day before if you feel you are going to call out or be sick like I don’t know if I’m going to be sick for sure so I’d do that but then I still got written up and I was like ok I’m not playing these games .

For story two as a kid who had a sibling named after them, DON'T. It's creepy. It's weird. So no, you are not the jerk. Advocate for your daughter!! For context I'm my mom's youngest but my Dad's middle child. My younger sister's middle name is MY name. What is really creepy about it is my name is my MOTHER'S favorite flower and her mother. And yes, my dad told me he named my half sister after me. The only difference between me and my sister and this story is that she does have a different first name. It's still Hella creepy and weird. And i absolutely hate it. I'm still upset about it to this day. I also didn't find out I had a sister until she was like 2. Just a weird situation all the way around.

I still don't get it why he choose it. This is a situation where ... YES ... OP is very right to be weirded out for the situation. Both because the father also decide the name together with OP and then decide to do the same with his current GF. SO ... in other words, this guy is either lazy or his gf pushed it and he agree in the most doormatish way possible. And even there is not a reason other than :"its a pretty name". The guy's gf is also a lunatic too.

The person in the last lateness story was very stupid. That was not malicious compliance but rather childish impertinence and antagonism. Very unnecessary. I see no reason for anyone to go scorched Earth like that just because of a policy they don't like.
@tylercanales5794
@tylercanales5794 10 ай бұрын
There’s two stories I want to comment on actually one kind of covers multiple stories. The stories where people are so proud of getting revenge or malicious compliance. I’m finding it hard to believe lately. Because if you’re so proud of it, why did they change the names like the one with the dying grandmother a couple days ago changing the name of the church to big white church that that makes sense. And the stories where it comes to baby names I can’t stand them I think they’re stupid also. It’s like it’s a name if you name like your daughter Samantha, there’s a good chance you’re going to come across other semesters. My uncle and my grandfather had the same name. And my uncle was adopted so it’s my mother to make that clear. And from what my mom told me, they adopted my uncle, and then changed his name to my grandfather’s name. so I wish people would stop being so controlling with baby names.
@redphantom11
@redphantom11 10 ай бұрын
Changing the names is to avoid a lawsuit. The others in the story, or even the companies could claim libel or slander or something. Even if the accusations were false, who wants to deal with the hassle and expense of getting a lawyer and going to court when it's much easier to change a few names? As far as naming children the same thing, I can see a little irritation since there were four other people in my grade alone with my name. And that doesn’t take into consideration the other grades. But most times, it’s not that big of a deal. But in this case, you have two sisters living under the same roof with not only the same first name but most likely the same last name. Think of the confusion it would cause. “Can I speak to Jane?” “Little Jane or Big Jane?” Then little Jane grows and isn’t so little anymore. It becomes Old Jane or Young Jane. Neither is flattering for the older one. And school records, or possibly police records, could be hard to keep straight. This time, it isn’t about possessiveness, it’s about not being dumb.
@tylercanales5794
@tylercanales5794 10 ай бұрын
@@redphantom11 I can see what you mean. But like I said, my mom did grow up in a house, where that was the same situation with her dad and brother. And we don’t know if it was by accident or intentional, but my grandfather did leave for my grandmother. And he got with a woman that had two kids I guess and they had the same name as my mom and Uncle also. Again we don’t know if it was an accident or if that was intentional we don’t know their story. But that’s just how I look at the name thing. And also with the first story, I see what you mean, but I still don’t believe the story is fully. When they do that, it’s like with the story I mentioned from like a day or two ago. Who are they going to sue? The grandmother passed away, and these people obviously knew what they did. In that story. With the big white church and then it’s like the ones that were in trouble the big black church they mention why change the name of that one?
@Regden1000
@Regden1000 10 ай бұрын
Second story. I don't find it creepy but just weird and dumb. It's going to create a lot of confusion if the baby's name is the same name as her half sister. Also I think it wasn't the best idea for the OP to become so overly familiar with the girlfriend. The girlfriend probably has developed some kind of jealous resentment towards the OP for being the first person to have a child with her boyfriend and possibly imagining that he might someday leave her to be with his first daughter and the OP.
