You think that first story is somehow an exaggeration, but the same thing happened to my husband and I with our own biological so. My MIL and FIL couldn’t have more children after having my husband, who also had serious health problems, so after we had our first son, they became obnoxious about doing whatever they wanted whenever they wanted with our son. They had a history of hard drinking when my husband was young but stopped when he went to college. My husband and I were beside ourselves and even got temporary restraining order. It was so sad, and I was literally scared of these people. They wouldn’t go to counseling even with us paying for it. My husband ended up passing away from heart failure, which they didn’t help with. Just sad for nothing. Best thing I did was talk to my son’s pediatrician about their abuse and harassment as it’s the child’s welfare that’s most important-not the grandparents’.

If you're a frequent traveler or commuter, having a specific room you prefer is pretty common. Its kind of a home away from home. It also sucks to have to remember different room numbers every week, especially when they don't give you room keys anymore that have a room number on them.

Story #5!! Please don't do that with strangers!! I brought home a homeless lady that was supposedly a friend of my mom's for many year's & Daddy let her stay she was older & 3 week's later that *ITCH Robbed our home of more than $15,000.00 and yes I was sleeping as her criminal boyfriend was carrying out the piggy bank filled w all quarters (saved for over 7 years!!) & 3 grand in $100 bills for a side job Daddy was doing! I was only aged 22 & I felt so bad as they got away and were never caught! My Daddy said he was MORE Thankful that I wasn't hurt as the lady sat in my bedroom to watch me & I had woke up & thought it weird she was staring at me sleeping! So she owed me $20 & said she was just waiting 4 me to wake up! No she locked our 3 dog's in the pen outside & did their dirty little deed!! NEVER EVER TRUST A STRANGER!! Especially a person off the street & it made me feel better that to my Daddy the money like he said was replaceable as I was not!! I pray other people will learn from yours and my stories here as to keep your property safe!! We work hard and earn alot of people don't care and will just take your stuff and call it their's!! Nah, that would be horrible customer service. It's a small, honest mistake on their part and isn't worth alienating them over. Just because a guest forgot to return a key doesn't mean that you treat them like shit and wake them up harassing them at an unreasonable hour. Depending on how nice that hotel was and how much the guests were paying, the best thing to do in that situation is to apologize, refund them for their bicycle reservation, and either comp them for something or pay for the outside rentals from the local shop if they're willing to wait and the cost is reasonable.

Story 2 - sounds like a few You problems. You should've just waited. Flip side of the coin, your boyfriend was less attentive than he should've been. On the AH scale, You get a 1 out of 5. He gets a 2.5 out of 5. It would've been a 2 but he had to be a baby and block you on everything. End of the day, you're probably better off.
