Why the value is stored in Retained earning current and in Feb month you entered the data in Revenue account. It would be better if you can take a 30-40 account TB. Does it work for YTD input?

this is a terrible example. the investment would never equal the retained earnings. That means the company paid $0 for the investment in the first place. you should break out the initial investment and then show the earnings post-acquisition, and how that's "picked up" each period and added to the initial investment. This is more confusing than it is helpful.
