Bhaiya after your inspiration i have made my business website, registered my business in google my business, google maps, done hard work for citations on different business listing websites, strictly focused on consistent on business name, address and phone number at all places. I worked very hard and completed all but unfortunately i am failed to beat my competitor in my area. Thanks for kind words. There can be a few factors why your listing is not reaching in top 3. 1) if your business is new, it will take time to beat a competitor who is already established. GMB tries to mimic the real world reputation so its still taking its time to trust a new business. 2) Your website might be lacking in giving good signals to the Google. Check your website and audit it for issues. Add schema data. we have a lot of videos about schema data. and 3) your citation might be taking time in indexing. Good citations can take 2-3 months to take effect. Marketing is a game of patience and consistent efforts. Wait for your efforts to kick in and you will find your business permanently in top 3 position.

If you are running a business that provides business in more than one city then you can create a service area business, hide the address, and add different districts as service area so your listing will be shown in all those districts. If you want to have your office/store address visible for local public but also show your listing in other districts then you need 2 listings. 1 for your office that will have visible address but no service area and another listing that can have address (in hidden format) of your home or any other place where you can receive verification postcard and use service areas in this listing. Do NOT use same phone number, same website URL, or same address in both listings. You may use same category and/or same name in both listings. Let me know if you have any doubt.

Don't create second listing, try to revive that listing. If client has that email ID password then talk to google about getting it reinstated. Except address and review policy violations, google will reinstate the listing.

If you listing is using the service area then you can add more service areas with it but make sure that your address isn't visible if you are using the service area. If you are using just the address then you can focus on increasing your business's authority in the real world. Google takes the real reputation of a business as a ranking factor in GMB, so things, like being a sponsor of some local even or getting your name published in a local newspaper or adding your business in local business directories and merchant chamber websites, will help you.

Hi Rishabh, its a risky situation. In such cases, Google eventually suspends one or both of the listings. You need to clearly establish without a doubt that both businesses are separate. Unless, Google gets that information on clear words, its going to do what any business owner fears. You should seek professional help.

Hello Khan Saab, 1) GMB posts ka URL abhi to customize nahi kiya ja sakta hai. 2) Coverage circle badhane ke do tareeke hai. A) agar apka business service area type hai to aap jyada areas ko add kar sakte hai jisse apki listing jyada area me dikhai degi. B) agar apka business fixed location par hai to apne business ki authority badhane par focus kariye. Authority badhane ka tareeka hai local newspaper ya magazines ke articles me mention hona, charities/events/trade fairs me involve hona. Basically kisi bhi style ka business ho, agar uski real world me reputation badhegi to Google automatically GMB me apko better place dega.

agar aap service area type listing use kare aur apni listing aur business ki reputation sahi se manage kare to kar sakte hai. GMB business ki authority ko ek bada factor manta hai so agar business local area me reputation increase karta hai to rank bhi improve hogi.

Few months back I managed to get on call with Google representative . And I had asked for my cross country business listings transfer (India to Dubai) and they said I have to create new listing. I have created new listing wondering if I could just set up another location for my listing? Or is it allowed only with in country and for cross country you have to create new listing

Google representative was following company policy. You don't want to lose your listing because it has reviews but a location on a map that's not operational for a longer period of time ruins map users experience. Wouldn't you be upset if you see a restaurant in Google map only to find that its closed for months after reaching there? In case of moving location, you have shifted to another country which means its a new business all together so Google will require you to create new listing. It would be confusing for your new users to see reviews from India, right?
