And to think the infamous Amityville Horror house, next door to this one, was built on land that was originally part of this property’s lot. Before the Horror house, there was another house that was moved down the block, and what is now 108 was built in its place. A newspaper at the time reported that a human skull was found when the basement was excavated, this story probably inspired Jay Anson to create the fictional account of the Native American burial ground under the house. And if I remember correctly, Butch DeFeo was held by the police in the house shown in this video, 120, as a protective measure because he had told authorities that his family was killed by the Mob.

Yeah, I think it's the Mob. I don't think it's anything supernatural. I mean growing up, sure, it's easy to believe that there's some sort of "otherworldly" thing going on. But now, as rational modern people that we are I think it's safe to say that the DeFeo were killed by the Mob. Maybe they used silencers that's why neighbors did not hear anything on that fateful night, contradict to what the media claimed a rifle had been used. As for the Lutz, maybe it could be a hoax or that perhaps they're suffering from some narcissistic tendencies that brought the media to the attention claiming that it's supernatural. Maybe even the Warrens, too, were in cahoots with them. IF they did claim some "entity" in that place, maybe there could be. It's just by pure coincidence.

He used the Mob story as an alibi, but, when pressured by his grandfather Michael Brigante and the police, finally confessed he killed them and was sentenced in 1975 to six consecutive life sentences in jail, where he died last year.
