If you use the airbrush with double action technique it will be even better, with practically no dry tip or clogs. Tried 3rd gen AK Air but was surprised how thick it was. I guess it will last longer then Vallejo air…

@shutterfish Hello, I use a double action airbrush from Harder&Steenbeck. Unfortunately you have to get the 3rd generation colors in the right ratio first, it would be easier if there was a 3rd generation aircolor. Thanks for watching the video and for your comment. Greetings Steve

ATOM - good quality paint, but some shades are totally unacurate to the original RAL chart, e.g. RAL 8020 - a total disaster, is not even close! AK are very very close instead.

@@Jepe1964 Hard to say. The ATOM colors are the best to paint. The 3rd generation comes closest to German yellow....

More useful is your experience with tip dry between the two brands and stoppages/ clogs etc. my major complaint with AK 3D Gen is that nearly every one of their paint sets (7 in all)has leaking bottles and these are New unopened. Looks to be from the caps put on overly tight which cracks the nipple tip in the bottle.no help from the company over this as yet.

@@timothywood4402 Hello Timothy. The opening of the ATOM colors was not blocked and cannot tear. I fear that the lid could possibly come loose with frequent use. I only know that the tip cracks on AK with the old paints. The Mig and Vallejo ammunition also had this problem. I hope it will be better with the 3rd generation. Greetings Steve

Don't care what ANYONE says I have tins of Humbrol enamel some 30 years old still in working order..even some Testores enamals....when paint and pigments weren't acrylic or lacquers...when paint was REAL

Real dunkelgelb is not so green and is warmer. Atom 20006 German Sand Beige looks closer to actual dunkelgelb.

AK jsou hrozný bahno. Vždy, i po velkém zředění, mi ucpou pistoli, kteroukoliv. Zkoušel jsem několikrát a jdu od nich. I po použití retarderu.

...the Atom Colors were very easy to apply with the brush and the coverage was also very good. With lighter shades, you may have to apply a second coat with the brush if the base is a little darker.
