Good to see you got it finished John, it looks really neat now. Are you planning to have the charger integral or external? If external I can recommend Speakon sockets for the charging connector. You can even get rubber bungs to help keep damp out.

Thanks Ali. The mains charging input will also be a higher current solar input. The mains charger will be from something like an old laptop power brick, or other high current low voltage supply. This same input will double as a direct connection for a 180 Watt solar panel. This input will connect to the 8A charge line on the BMS, so should allow the battery pack to charge from flat in about 4 hours at the full 8A capacity. I'm going to use an XT60 plug for this, as I like them and I have them in stock.
