It would be pretty hard for her to do so in the cage. She can't h4ng herself (no juncture points/roof of the cage is too short), I doubt Toma gives her knives when eating her meals, she can't starve herself (Toma even said it himself, there are other ways to provide nutrients besides eating), even in the shower, she can't dr0wn herself and if she tried, Toma would easily figure out due to being literally a few feet away/the door being slightly open. She can't strangle herself cause the body has a self survival instinct where it basically forces you to let go out of your throat and breath. Orion is right, toma really did think of everything

I completely agree with the yandere personality. Thanks to Toma, you can see that not all yanderes will kill others unless they are ACTUALLY in danger or the person they care about is in serious danger. The other yanderes, Yandere Simulator, for instance, she kills everyone in her school just so she can get her senpai, but you can't really interact with him without failing beforehand. So, my point is, not all yanderes will kill just to be with the person they love or are obsessed with.

It's not mine or yours at least, so don't worry". I think in his suspense route, he can kill the girl that shoved the MC in the freezer if you choose the right options, but it fades to black

I'm just gonna start off by saying if Toma existed irl, I'm dialing that 9 and that double 1 ;-; BUT it's honestly not too far fetched that the MC genuinely does love him and is not suffering Stockholm syndrome. It's out of just being a kind-hearted and empathetic person she forgave him. She said it herself, she loved him since they were children, even before she knew what love was. Of course, it doesn't make what toma did excusable, and he knows it. In his sequels, he constantly beats himself up over it. Only when Shin punches him in the face + the heroine locks and cuffs him up does he feel better dating her. And in Toma's Later, literally 1-2 days after the good ending, she forgives Rika for the harassment. Toma even says "If you forgave me, I guess it's not surprising you forgave Rika"

There's a bad ending in Joker World - "We'll be together forever" - where not only does Toma lure you to his apartment and make you his prisoner, but he KILLS SOMEONE beforehand! It's so random and not tied to the rest of the world at all. I swear to God, someone had to have put it there to call this story out on its bullshit. It is the most amazing thing. (Seriously, Diamond World is horrible)

Tbf, MC is also as crazy about Toma as he is about her. Probably not on the same level, but girlie was scribbling in her diary about how in love she was regarding him, trying to look prettier, literally got into the same college as him JUST for him. She even asked Shin to takes pictures of Toma and send it to her (surprise, surprise, toma also has pictures of the MC) I'd say it's a match made in --hell-- heaven

Honestly, I just finished his route... got the good ending first try (because I forced myself into picking the obvious answers that would lead to his good ending), and I do not like it at all. I know now that he's a yandere, but it is still WRONG and creepy to lock someone in a cage and put them in handcuffs. I legit thought he had 2 personalities or some shit because it was so weird. The fact we are forced to choose the answers that seem the least logical to get his good end means she trusted someone who put her in a cage while having no memories and that's weird asf and gives stockholm syndrome. In fact, it is lowkey stockholm syndrome because she didn't have her memories and she still ended up liking him while thinking her bf was someone else...nobody wakes up in a cage and acts normal. I'm just hoping the developer did this on purpose to show how messed up a character can be... because if that's their goal then they succeeded because I HATED his character and he really showed definition of yandere. This is definitely a toxic relationship... but it's their good end so damn idk. I feel like if they wanted to show him being a yandere, they could've at least made him face consequences later on like maybe put him in a mental hospital with a psychiatrist or idk anything so that he can build character development and then the mc can learn to love him properly...that would've been a nice ending I usually have an open mind and I can handle dark things, but I wish there was a true resolve to this or more story on how he became to be like that. I just can't stand an MC that doesn't do shit when she is kidnapped in plain sight...and then the fanclub girls not getting arrested or anything actually annoyed me. I haven't even done Ikki's route but I know Ima hate the fans already...Also, speaking of arresting, Toma would've definitely gone to jail in another universe if he got outed.

I'm a fan of yanderes and I do not like Toma at all. I watched Amnesia (the anime) when it first came out and it was baaaaaad. I was so excited to see how Toma's character would be like and needless to say, I was disappointed. Seeing this playthrough (because people said that Toma in the game is better than the anime version) I can say that Toma is even worse in the game. What makes yanderes appealing is that you like their personalities because you know they would do anything for MC but at the same time they're creepy. Toma never really had an appealing personality. He was just plain creepy and never realized the harm he caused until "the end". I just didn't see any romance in this route. With other yanderes, like Tei in Nameless, Tei is self aware and knows that he's a yandere, knows that he has issues so he stays away from MC because he doesn't want to hurt MC. Towards the end of the route, Tei wants to change for MC and confronts his issues head on. Toma does not do any of this. He's just abusive.

If it makes you feel any better, in later and crowd, he gets his comeuppances. He constantly beats himself up (half his dialogue is basically just self deprecation), he asks shin to beat him up, he asks MC to lock and chain him in the cage like he did to her, only after these does he feel better about dating her. Toma is definitely self aware what he did was a shit thing, it was just poorly executed at the end (tbh, I feel like his whole route is just poorly written in general). His Later and Crowd route is more satisfying to see, cause it's better written and you get to see Toma admitting he's a POS/have satisfying outcomes (ofc, Toma needs therapy but I feel like what happens is satisfying enough for fiction) Don't get me wrong, if Toma existed irl I'm dealing that 9 and double 1, but I do recommend playing his later/crowd route if you want to see him face consequences. His whole memories route is just poorly written

It's not cute and definitely not something worth romantizing, but as always Japan can't properly script something problematic without making it romantic.
