I was so proud of Fauna when she recognized Gonzales, calling it a relic of the old KZbin. And of course Bae had no idea what that was. Neither was chat though, Stephano is the golden one.

For those curious, the reason Amnesia's brightness controls didn't change anything for the stream viewers is because the game's brightness control doesn't actually do anything in engine, it brightens and dims the physical monitor it's displayed on. It's the only game I've ever seen do this, so it's natural to be confused by it. And yes, I may have run into this problem myself relatively recently. It sucks. Great video as well.

The chemistry between Bea, and Fauna is hilarious, and on point. Bea braving Fauna on despite her being familiar with the game, and Fauna forever taunting Bea with non existent monsters and jump scares. Subjectively I feel a game like this is much scarier than Mortuary Assistant as it builds up to the horror, reveals rather than relying solely on cheap jump scares, and a disturbing premise. Also in terms of classic horror gaming this brings me back to Eternal Darkness which also I think had a sanity/insanity mechanic where you'd start to hallucinate if it got to low. Great job with this first installment, can't wait to see where the game goes in part 2.

This stream was truly throwback to the 2010s for me. Never finished the game myself, but I played a couple of custom maps and watched a lot of let's plays of it with friends back in the day. Really happy to see that Bae got interested and enjoyed the game, I hope both are able to finish it.

Fauna's prior experience with the game and Bae's giddy mood has really made this playthrough very different (and easier) than what a first experience of Amnesia would be. I remember just how deeply terrifying it was, playing this alone in the dark. Can't imagine Bae getting through it that way anyway, but as with all horror games, knowing the scary bits and how to brute force through/past them sucks away the horror element. P.S.: The Latin words used are very much real. These things were used in alchemy of all sorts.

I watched it back in 2010/11 as he started recording let's play of amnesia. Pewds then began to have schizophrenia. He started talking to inanimate objects such as figurines, chairs, barrels. He shouted at every situation that happened in the game. It's hard for me to believe that over a decade ago I liked this format of videos.
