Unironically. It's an original mature twist that is both scary and funny. A good horror that doesn't rely on a shitty gimmick like a ghost. So it feels grounded, but it creates a disconnect that is on purpose with his silly costume. Comedy isn't necessary a punchline or a joke, it can be a silly situation. Yet the serious contents make me wonder, is this comedy? It's obviously tragic but seeing him so serious in that ridiculous costume is so funny. With little, it manages to impress so much. It could end with, I am not laa-laa anymore, I am THE teletubby! With a straight face, that could have been great as he would have aknowledged how stupid the situation is, but it would have sold how he's the sole survivor.
