ISKCON didn't reverse it. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who is incarnation of Krishna(500 years back) reverse this. All Gaudiya Vaishnava chant like this only. If you don't like it you can chant as you want. After all when we start no one can just who is chanting in what way

Sorry For late reply, I was busy somewhere. Nice question, you are intelligent. First of all God never want us to be here. I protest him and want a separate kingdom for our self that's why we are here. second as Father never want child to become separated from him but if child forces then what would father will do. he just have to permit child. third you can go back home in a second need not to take long time if you have 100 % detachment from this world. But we are attached to mobile what to speak of family and wife. so it's depend on our surrender. That's all. Thank you Hare Krishna
