I love how the music is a form of lament. Such power, such emotion, yet tender at the same time. Its just epic. I heard this about 10 years ago, so rocketed to one of my all time fav songs, and it's never left that spot

That's what drew me to them almost 20yrs ago. The rythm is always spot and singer has that ability of telling an epic story. Listening Amon Amarth gives vibes of Vikings times and sitting at a campfire and hearing the war stories.
