the live performance is post mixed, thats why the quality is good. You dont get this quality with a live recording right of the bat, it's just not possible.

@@jameswhitehead6758 The sound is edited, other live performances by Amon Amarth don't have as clean of a sound, you can e.g. hear Johan's voice drop sometimes, which is not the case here. Also this is taken from a live Album/DVD/Blu-Ray (The Pursuit of Vikings: 25 Years in the Eye of the Storm) which would justify an edit.

Sounds better with the crowd chants and background noise. But mad props to the sound techs! These guys are the true heroes of the live show. They can make or break a good band if the mixes are off! Those vikings really know their shit!

I saw amon Amarth last night in the melbourne forum.although they didn't have the longship there they didn't need it.great set but at one hour it was too short. You came from the mother north but played short set They are tight band and had a good time. A lot of plump bearded men drinking like fish in crowd. I met these dudes outside of Saltair on the Sounds of the Underground tour back in 2007 I believe. I was just a sixteen year old fan and they gave me the time of day without hesitation. Much love for Amon Amarth 🤘 Not to mention they were still this great live at that time. Cry Of The Black Birds will always be one of my favorite metal tracks.

Since I listened to them, I really liked how their instruments and voice sound, their rhythm, their beat is a violet and emotional force that hits you in the brain and lifts the hair follicles of the skin, it is impressive how they sound both in the studio and in alive.
