Must have been 15 or 16 years old. Was listening to Metallica and Slayer and just recently started to play guitar. Back then, sunday evening, MTV2 was playing some more niche metal. And this has been the my first contact with Amon Amarth. And yes, this specific song. I cant describe the feeling I had.. I never knew such raw, brutal music before. It was like thunder. Yet melodic. Needless to say I fell in love with the band and melodic death metal. And I remember trying to play the main riff for days.. and especially the outro.. Still a favourite to play up to this day
