The Pursuit of Vikings is where they really took off. I also seen them at SOTU that year, what an experience. Crazy, I think the lineup went: Goatwhore, Amon Amarth, Necro (the rapper). That crowd was HEATED. But that wasn't even the worst part, The Devil Wears Prada had a 30 minute set and spent at least 10 minutes talking about Jesus. But Job For A Cowboy absolutely killed their set.

Yeah, their early stuff is incredible. It was the perfect balance of melody and hard hitting drums and bass. This just feels like Death Metal by the numbers. Repeat a verse over and over again, throw in a solo, repeat a few riffs and then call it a song as it ends sounding just like how it started.
@johnpolimeno12642 жыл бұрын
@@Charles_Anthony exactly,only a few of the last hits are actually good and ofc their old stuff is a different level

@@johnpolimeno1264: Yeah, it happens to the majority of bands. A Children of Bodom never really had a great album after their first four or five until their last one called Hexed. The same thing can be said about Arch Enemy who just seems to be playing the same old music over and over again since Doomsday Machine. Amon haven't been good since With Odin On Our Side and, unlike the other two groups I mentioned who always managed to produce a few hits since their glory days, (Arch Enemy is especially good at coming out of no where with a song or two that kick ass on otherwise boring albums) Amon hasn't caught my attention in a very long time.
