In case you all wanted to know, the game originally had no sound because it used to have no online feature, just local multiplayer. There was no sound because the sound would give away your position to other people around you, or let them know you were imposter or that you just got killed, etc.

My theory: the thing on the back of the crewmates are no oxygen tanks, they are backpacks. The crewmates carry there a flashlight, a tablet etc and the impostors the knife, the pistol etc. This makes sense cuz there is extra oxygen on the skeld.
