We go amongst the bells at St Mary Cray during a quarter peal of Cambridge Surprise Minor.
The bells are hung above a substantial intermediate chamber, where access to the belfry involves a rather tight squeeze around the treble, followed by some rather careful footing.
They take a bit of working to get right but once settled in, they are lovely bells and sound great outside, though they could be a bit louder in the ringing room.
