Winning the Europa League and FA Cup could earn a lot of goodwill for Amorim since he's under pressure to survive for next season. Actually Rants got it wrong about the Europa League run, we reached two finals(16/17 and 20/21 winning the former while losing the latter) and a semi final(19/20 losing to Sevilla obviously). We actually reached four FA Cup finals which is more than Europa League finals but he's right about us having to win it. Lazio, Athletic Club, Galatasaray, Fenerbache, Besiktas, Spurs and Porto are the hard games and we should not take them lightly.

Europa League is so much easier now without CL 3rds dropping down from the group of deaths... randomly getting a Barcelona/Inter/Dortmund used to throw a spanner in the works and make it hard to win

Yeah he had a stinker with that opinion. Especially because he was wrong about his point of us making more Europa finals compared to FA cup finals. We’ve reached 2 Europa league finals (2016/17 and 2020/21) and 4 FA Cup finals (2015/16, 2017/18, 2022/23, 2023/24) since SAF left. Rants is a fool! A bit racist as well, or at least likes to play the race card. Zirkzee is now the best striker in the PL? And Højlund is the worst striker ever? Rants likes black players!!! Zirkzee did well, but he usually does when he comes in, as does Garnacho who was clearly man of the match. When Zirkzee starts, he is useless, as is Garnacho. But when they come in later they rock. Why? I don't know! Because they are young maybe? According to Rants it's because one is white and one is black. He is forgetting that many of our legends were out on loan at this stage of their career, but he dumps on them for not being world beaters at this age. Unless they are black of course.
