The Ballet Tickets is one of Amos n Andy's best. I have watched it a dozen times. Great writing, great actors. As good as it gets. Thanks for posting.

This is an episode with some hilarious writing. Mama and Saphire in jail. Classic comedy. We bought the whole DVDs set several years ago. Never fails to entertain.

Amanda Randolph as Mama is my favorite. Next comes Calhoun and the Kingfish...and Of course the episodes with Madame Queen.

Calhoun (Johnny Lee) was SO underrated. He was talented and his sense of humor was great in so many episodes.

My vote is for Calhoun, the disbarred attorney.

The criminals were almost always white. This episode, the one with the gun, the one with the chair, the one with the turkeys, etc.

The naacp should never have had this show removed.. Dysfunctional characters is the primary ingredient for great comedy.

Mama needs a strong dominant young husband to keep her busy. Thus she will stay out of the Kingfish's & Sapphire home life 🤣🤣🤣.

I love how they destroy the English language. Makes you see how English could be difficult to learn. I spontaneously laugh at these old shows, something that seldom happens with modern comedy.
@alphonsozorro79525 жыл бұрын
It is not a matter of being "difficult" to learn but the way they learned it. No language is difficult for native speakers, and those were all native speakers of English. Languages are always difficult for foreigners to learn.

Wonder the probability of this scheme working out in real life. Also wonder the probability of a white dude have tickets to a all black cast and audience at a ballet back in the 50s
