The Fox & The Hound came out in 1981. Amos Slade's voice actor Jack Albertson died the same year which was 10 years after he played Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory for Warner Brothers in 1971. I guess you could say he was much like Ed Wynn, their final roles were both with Disney. Ed Wynn's final movie role before his death was his portrayal as one of the gnomes in the 1967 Walt Disney feature film "The Gnome Mobile". Jack Albertson's final movie role before death could possibly be his voicing of Amos Slade in The Fox & The Hound for Walt Disney Pictures in 1981.
