The Chopin piece was one of the first pieces I "taught myself" and I don't know if it gets much more difficult after what he played because I stopped there after the opening but in fact I would say that sounds easy and is easy up until what he played. Mainly because I suck and that is light years easier than most pieces I try to teach myself.

Actually you're not really suppose to gain muscle cause then it would mean you contract you're muscles while playing and it's not good. If you're tense and contracted you can't play for a long period of time and risking injuries. That's actually one of the most difficult things to do when learning piano especially if you play at a certain level and the songs are hard and rapid. You should only playing with the weight of your torse, circular movement of the wrists and the attack of your fingers on the note with your arms being completed relax.

@@kylel3784 yeah it's really tough XD I've been playing for 12 years (now it's been 6 years that I haven't play) all of my childhood and teenage years and I had still trouble with it. You really need to do exercise a lot to relax your muscles. If you play and you sense that you're tense you stop right away and take a few second to shake your arm a little and relax. You can do exercise to rotate your wrists and practice putting the weight of your arm only hanging on one finger to strengthen it. There are few tricks but in any case it's still really tough and need years of practice. I'm quite grateful to my professor who taught me classical technics and were very serious with this kind of things so I wouldn't injure myself. If I had learn the piano myself I would never had theses knowledge. It's one thing learning songs with tutorial etc but if you don't have the technics it will be even more tough.

The chords and main keys are sooo unmatched imo about Nocturne, so it's kinda hard to remember the pattern and sound. It's also hard to synchronize the hand movement like sure it needs a lot of practice aswell as great ears in order to master that. I always though it's very easy to play Nocturne when i first heard that, no cap. But then it's like there way too many different variation of chords. I would avoid wanting to learn Nocturne and play it because non-pianist would probably think it's easy after loads of efforts lmaooo (it can be useful for self improvement though).

Easy but easy: consolation no.3 Easy but hard: un sospiro Hard but hard: Spanish Rhapsody To all non classicals, you can search all this up on KZbin with midi file and all, and they're some of Liszt's more digestible pieces compared to others (like feux follets or mazeppa if you're interested) so I think you might enjoy them Edit: to all the people who have been correcting me, Liszt is not a misspelling of list, Liszt is a classical composer, so obviously the names of the compositions are different. This is a list of separate pieces that I think apply. Edit 2: to anyone who can provide a better list, please do and I'll try to edit the original whenever I can Edit 3: since quite a few people seem to have been triggered by the leibstraum no.3 ranking, I hereby make it up to you to decide what goes in its place. You can copy paste the altered list in the replies if you want

@Áron Hódi umm, I know. I said the Liszt edition; as in I'm making a new list but all the pieces are Liszt. I know la campanella, but it's relatively tame in comparison to other Liszt pieces in terms of difficulty. Not to be rude or anything

As someone who knows next to nothing of piano, the gist I get from this is that the main difficulty comes from the range of notes, not the amount. Playing 6 different neighbouring notes at high speed seems easier than ones far apart that require full hand/arm movement to go between.

The Pirates of the Caribbean theme is based around 5 chords and it's just those 5 chords in different orders with different rhythms, and since everyone's heard it a lot, someone with a high amount of musical knowledge can easily play it. Me and one of my friends entirely improvised the Pirates of the Caribbean theme in an open day once for our school, me on piano and my mate on trumpet, just out of the fact that we've both been playing music with one another for 6-7 years and know both the song and our instruments well. We also did a few other well known songs and just general improv stuff because once you've done music for a long time and actually get to understand it, the range of music you can produce from a single instrument is baffling.

not exactly, but quite close. claire de lune is difficult to play well as it requires more musicality because of the lack of notes and speed. the last one is just difficult because LOOK AT IT and the easy ones are just the same thing repeated for a bit, all based around the same chords

Yes, but the amount counts too, for example, it's easy to press the wrong keys if they are too crowded together, or your hands are crossed, or you have to play more than 3 notes at the same time with one hand. I'm far from an expert, but i took piano and other music subjects for 5 years. The difficulty in the second one is the jumps on the left hand, it would be hard for me to get used to the "landings", but also the phrasing, the fact that everything has to sound connnected and what is supposed to be loud or quiet, and also coordinating you foot (that one's played with the right foot pedal). English is not my first language and my music related English vocabulary is very poor, sorry.

I mean at a certain point speed does matter but in general you’re correct.

Another great example of one that sounds easy but is actually hard. The second fugue from Bach's Well-Tempered Claviar. People hear it and assume it's even easier than Clementi's Sonatina in C Major, but then they play it and find it's actually almost as hard as, and in some ways harder than, Chopin's Revolutionary Etude (one of the most famous advanced piano pieces).

The hard part has to be the spacing and accents is it not? I’m not rlly a pianist so idk.
@amyhamaker7803
@amyhamaker7803 2 жыл бұрын
@@tedseb7726 for me, the hard part is the sheer distance between the jumps in the left hand. It’s a lot of movement that sounds easy to the ear but requires a lot of coordination to find the correct jumps and still keep the flow of the right hand melody.

It depends on which pirates of the Caribbean you play. Jarrod Radnich didn’t even record his own arrangement in one tape!! He divided it up into segments then edited them together because it was too difficult to play at the speed he wanted with perfect accuracy. (This is the arrangement I play on my channel)
