Amouage Epic Man Review! Silk Road Woes

Wow, just tried this over the weekend and I got to say, this wowed me on first sniff.I think it's one of the best fragrances I have smelled in my life considering my love for spices in frags.All a matter of taste

Este perfume representa en mi humilde opinión la quintaesencia de lo que debe de ser una fragancia oriental. Es una sinfonía de notas especiadas y amaderadas espectacular. Aunque también son destacables las notas de cuero y almizcle. Puro esplendor arábigo sin lugar a dudas. Epic Man es una fragancia profunda, rotunda y varonil. Debido a su elevado precio únicamente la veo para ocasiones especiales. En resumen, una fragancia que no deja indiferente a nadie debido a su exotismo, por cierto, la madera de oud juega un papel prominente en esta fragancia. A modo curiosidad, esta fragancia es algo similar al controversial y a la vez amado M7 de YSL.

Tienes razón este perfume es puro lujo yo tengo 1 frasco de 100 ml y 2 de 50ml son las 3 vintage, son del 2009 y las de 2 de 50ml del 2010, en la parte de abajo tiene la lista de ingredientes con muchas notas , especialmente dicen oak moss y tree moss, y también compré una del 2014 magnetic cap, la lista mucho más corta y no huele igual, saludos desde California 👍😎

Guys, what are your thoughts on Amouage Fate Man? I have heard good things about it, but really wanted an expert's opinion on it. Can you guys maybe review it or make a first impressions video of it?

To the chest. I apply it as lightly as I can, from a distance. Interlude is gorgeous yet so manly, but it's also SO strong.

I wore this as a daily work scent for some time and came to the conclusion that it was to heavy for ny work environment. Its fresh, green, luxurious, with a big fisted punch. If you are looking for that then epic is a must try.

Amouage reformulated Epic Man to a noticeable degree. I personally haven't sampled the new one, but I've read feedback from a number of trusted fragrance aficionados that convinced me it IS different and not to a good effect. It is a linear fragrance and you can become anosmic to it. I find it rather spicy and aromatic, more so than than any leather and oud. I was expecting oud to have a more prominent position and I'm surprised a large number of people feel it's most prominent. I have lived with my bottle for a year and used maybe 2% of it. Half debating if I should let it go...

You're right. I bought m8ne this year from jomashop and was very disappointed. Just smells like a little fresh, a little curry cumin, and a little green and that's it. It isn't intense. I spray four sprays on my wrist and after a half hour I can barely smell anything there but it may be I just got blinded to it. I dunno. I regret buying it. Why did I buy it? I remember long ago spraying it at a store sample and was mesmerized by the complexity of it. The one I have has absolutely no complexity. It's been just a few weeks though. I'll give it a few months.

I've gotten HUGE compliments from women while wearing this one. The only reason I wouldn't buy it is because I already own a few things that are sort-of like it (especially Royal Oud). If money were no object, I'd own Epic Man, but Interlude Man is still my favorite. My god, Interlude is outstanding.

doing some testing on Fate right now for a review soon. :) i think Jer and i differ on this one. it's a strong Cumin fragrance with a lot of imortelle flower and then incense in the drydown. if you don't like cumin and think it smells sweaty, you probably won't like this. if you do like cumin, it's worth smelling, though the florals in it throw me off

Actually, no. I get very little connection between Epic and Interlude. Epic is nice, but I adore Interlude. In your own review, Jer mentioned getting a bunch of compliments when he wore it to church, didn't he? I wear 1 spray of Interlude and it gets me compliments. I think it's one you need to wear a few times to really get it. At first, all I smelled was smoke. But now, I barely even notice smoke. Like I said, I love the stuff. Interlude is amazing.

Honour Man is next! :) we've aired 6 amouage reviews as of this video, and half of those have been positive. we also mentioned on those that though the price was high, it would be worth it to get the juice on a split, and if you love them, worth the buy. The rest, not so much. we like to review large cross-sections from houses to give viewers a better understanding of a line. plus, even though we may give bad marks on a frag, that info is helpful to many.

Wasn't a fan of this one either. I feel like a lot of the Amouage fragrances try to look more complex then they are, by listing so many notes. But usually, they're just linear scents with no wear near the depth that they advertise. Few exceptions, but that's my take for the most part.

Classy scent. No offence but you guys seem quite casual and easy going. This is a wearable yet very classy scent. This is for a well dressed gentleman who likes small details in clothing as well as smell. This and reflection man are both wearable and classy.

I feel like most of these reviews of Amouage are the same. You guys aren't really fans, high price that's hard to justify, wouldn't wear it enough to own, etc. etc. You going to do Honour Man? That one is underrated in my opinion, but it does smell strikingly similar to TdH/Red Vetyver minus the big citrus note.

Indeed, a well balanced and quality fragrance but too much expensive and not worthy the high price. If you want a similar fragrance to Epic Man, you should try the original M7 by Yves Saint Laurent or even, Antaeus or Polo by Ralph Laurent. Amouage is a overpriced and overrated arabian niche house.
