Amouage's Renaud Salmon on the Odyssey Collection Chapter III | Search, Purpose, Lineage, Guidance

Four new perfumes were recently added to the Amouage Odyssey Collection. Chapter III of the line includes Search, Purpose, Lineage, and Guidance. Much like the rest of the collection, these fragrances are deeply inspired by the landscape of Oman, where the house is based and where the relatively new creative director Renaud Salmon now presides.
Fragrantica contributor Adam Forziati spoke with Renaud recently about the new line and his experience at the helm of one of the most successful niche perfume houses on the market.
We learn about the experiences which informed Renaud's conception of the new additions to the line; what he hopes to accomplish at Amouage going forward; and even the different extractions of materials used in some of the perfumes.

The Odyssey Collection Chapter 3 perfumes include:
Search: Top notes are Lemon, Lime and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are elemi, Olibanum and Black Pepper; base notes are Guaiac Wood, Cade oil and Vetiver.
Purpose: Top notes are Pimento, Olibanum, Bergamot and Black and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Sandalwood, Vetiver, Papyrus and Rose; base notes are Suede, Akigalawood, Saffron and Mystikal.
Lineage: Top notes are Sichuan Pepper, Saffron, Ginger and Peruvian Pepper; middle notes are Olibanum, Myrrh and Fenugreek; base notes are Olibanum, Myrrh, Patchouli, Benzoin, Vetiver and Labdanum.
Guidance: Top notes are Pear, Olibanum and Hazelnut; middle notes are Osmanthus, Saffron, Jasmine Sambac and Rose; base notes are Vanilla, Sandalwood, Akigalawood, Ambergris and Labdanum.
